Binx has an infection...boo hoo hoo

Well, I thought his private parts looked a bit odd the last few days...and this am, when I saw blood , I was extra thankful we had made a 'just in case' appointment. Sure enough, Binxie has an infection stemming from the nuetering on Tuesday...he got at one of the stitches, and things are red, bloody, and swollen. Ugh. So, the vet gave him a injection of antibiotics, some pills to take for 10 days, and did a culture, just in case these aren't the 'best' antibiotics to be on.

My poor little baby has a tempature...in this nasty heat, to beat all, though I guess no time of the year is a good time to have a fever, is it?

Prayers for Binx, please...and prayers that he won't have to wear the e-collar I picked up for him today!!!!

Prayers for a speedy recovery for Binx.

And a question, is it easier to give a pill to a LARGE dog vs. a cat (because you have a large target) or is it harder to pill a large dog vs. a cat (because by the time your hand is at the back of his throat, half your arm is in his mouth).

First of all, Mrs. Luckenbach, don't be making fun of my large mouthed doggie in his hour of need! Second, I just plop it in the food bowl, and never see it again...he he.

We just returned from the ER vet, as the blood spicket was "on". Binx has on a wrap of sorts, to support his privates. (Do I see porn in his future, or what??). The ER vet said it was from too much activity (what?), and to crate him for 6-8 days (double what?). Anyhow, we are on a low activity radar for awhile...and I hope the anti b kicks in soon. I see more vet visits in the future. Now is prolly a good tiime to say, "we won't be in Findlay on the 13th"....just too risky. All from a nueter? Strange, very strange.

Geez Binx you just can't catch a break can you? Lucky for you that you have such a great mom. Lay low for awhile and get better and quit scaring Mom!
