ok, folks, help me! i have no idea if this computer is even capable of playing dvds. can anyone give me any suggestions on at least how to find out if i can watch a movie? i'm sorry, i know next to nothing about computers!i know there are two places in the computer where i can put a disc, but, i honestly don't even know which is d and which is e.

The only think I can think of...if you see "DVD Rom" on the tower, then you should be able to play a DVD.

You won't be able to play a DVD without the proper software.
Look on the door of your CD Rom drive. If it says DVD Rom, you can play DVD's, as long as you have software.

If it say's DVD-rom' on the CD rom.
the way i find out is i just stick in a DVD to see if it comes up

Well, thanks guys! I know I have media player, but, i dont' think it says dvd rom. thanks for your replies!
