can festival...neat idea...

Every year our local cinema puts on what is called a "can festival" you can get your movie tickets by producing one can of food, like Baked beans, etc, every can gets a ticket, all the cans of food go to the salvation Army, and they distribute it to food banks and the needy.

This year I managed to get two tickets for my daughter and her friend to go on Monday night to see spiderman 2, they have around 6 movies to choose from, but she has seen most of them apart from King Arthur, which I did not think she would enjoy, usually you have to get your tickets at the beginning of the week because they are sold out so quickly, but not this year.

Just thought I would share, as I think this is such a good idea, maybe your town or city does something similar you wish to share, or even put this idea forward.
