    Please meet "Bird Face"

Yes, Bird Face is his name right now (we are hopeing to rename him soon! LOL)

I went to visit my sister in South Carolina this past week. She works at a place called Sheraton (like the hotel chane) Broadway Plantation. One night while she was working at the front desk some guest came into the lobby with a small Peach Faced Love Bird on there hands. The bird was up in a tree and there boys raised there hands and called the bird to them. He swooped down and was VERY glad to find someone to ride on. My sister put him in this TINY deceration cage and the poor bird was miserable. He HATED it. My sister deced to bring him home ever though she is afreid of birds (LOL). So, we got this sweet little house guest and we began to call him Bird face (LOL). Well, my sister got up the coarge to hold him eventually and they became FAST friends. She would acctualy let him fly near her with out her crying LOL.

We went out and bought him 5 toys and a LARGE cage. He was then VERY happy in his cage, but was MUCH happier out of his cage. So whenever we were home we left his cage door open and he was aloud to come and go as he pleased. We would place him on something like a lamp and walk out of the room and he would fly after us, I have NEVER met a bird so friendly!

Anyway! I took some pics of Bird Face and Thought I would share for PCB, I know she has always wanted me to get a birdie

Isn't he PRETTY!! (btw: We don't know his sex, the book I read about them says you can't tell)

Dirty Wing - He has Mites or Flees so we bought him some Spray

Look at his CUTE eye lids!

    Sleepy Bird Face

He was singing to me here

    Cleaning his Chest

    All Pretty!

    Un-tieing my dad's shoe

    Blurry- but Thirsty Bird Face

    And my Fav Pic

Ok, now I have a question. He has plucked ALL his feathers around his neck is this because of stress? Or could it be because of mites of flees??

    His large bald spot

And working on the front part of his neck

Bird Face's future is un-deced right now. There are 4 people who want him. The family who found him, one of my sisters co-workers, My sister (who isn't 100% sure yet), and Me! My dad says he doesn't know if he wants bird face or not right now. My sister is keeping him at her house down in SC just in case if the owner call about him. We called ALL the SPCA's and ALL of the Pet Shops.

So, that is my sweet little Bird Face! I just love him BTW

He's so beautiful! I'm so glad he found his way to your family. Poor little lost thing. He must have been so scared. Now he'll have a good home, I'm sure, even if it's not with you.

Sorry..can't help with the feather plucking issue.

    Thanks for sharing!

Oh my GOSH!!! He is ADORABLE!!!! Poor baby. The fact that he's so friendly obviously indicates he's someone's beloved pet that happened to get lost. I sure hope you can find his family. If not, then I think your home would make the perfect home for him.

Feather plucking could mean several things. It could mean he is bored. It could mean he is sick. It could mean he has mites. It could mean its a bad habit the bird happens to have. It is, however, a reason to take him to the vet, to make sure everything's ok. It could possibly be a sign of illness, so I would definitely advise you to take him to the vet.

Oh he is just so cute. I love his color!!! Cute, cute, CUTE!!!!

He is on this medicine right now, so hopefully that will help clear it up. The "bird lady" at the pet store (who was HIGHLY recomended by my sisters vet) said it shuld clear up ALMOST everything he might have. She is letting him drink that and she is spraying him for 7 days. If he continues to pluck he will be taken to the vet.

Isn't he CUTE!! I just LOVE him!!

Bird Face is such a beautiful bird!

Hopefully he will be returned to his owners and he just had gotten out and they are looking for him, or you get to keep him! lol
