    Parson or Jack?

Do you like the short-legged Jack Russell Terrier, or the long-legged Parson Russell Terrier better?

I think they are both adorable, but I chose JRT.

We have an adorable JRT that was in our Agility class last week.

They're both so cute. But if I have to choose I'll be partial to the long-legged variety because it reminds me of Huey.

I prefer the JRT only because I'd like to do flyball and shorter dogs are definately an advantage on a flyball team.

I remember once, a local flyball team started swarming around Kaedyn and asked exactly how tall he was when we stopped by. They were trying so hard to make sure that we'd stay just cause Kaedyn would be the shortest on the team. Haha..

LOL i am guilty. If i see someone at dog club with a small dog i pounce on them and get them to try out for Flyball as we only have 2 reliable and 3 not so reliable height dogs. We need small dogs.

My Mom-in-law has a JRT Welsh Corgi mix...that dog is such a TERROR, but in a good way. LOL you'd like her in flyball cause she is sooooooooooo short, but really really fast! *Has to be to chase the cats lol*

JRTs are cute but the ones Ive run into are kind of troublemakers...is this true of all of them or did I get lucky?

    sorry for the confusions.

Snowy is a Parson Russell Terrier or formerly known as Parson Jack Russell Terrier. Some people still know Parson Russell Terrier as long-legged Jack Russell Terrier eventhough they vary from 10-15 inches in height. That is why I call her a Jack Russell Terrier sometimes - because she is..

I like them both equally, but I think they are overbred. I think they are not supposed to have any height standard it is just an AKC thing to give dogs standards for everything.
