You just have to pardon some of the mess....

Welcome to my house. The home of Meg, Mark, Tigger, Smokey, Tucker, Mystic and Abner. Mark and I bought our house in 1993...just before we got married. It is a Cape Cod style house on 1.5 acres. We love it.

This is Tucker's Alley and what we consider the front door to the house. It is actually the door to the kitchen but we use it as our front door.

    My kitchen...

    My living room....

The dining room...without showing you the dining room table which is full of clutter right now....

The spare bedroom....also known as the workout room...the computer room...and the hang out room for the kitties.

    Our bedroom...

    The condo in the bedroom....

and last....this is an area where I put up my little tribute to my RB Tony...Tigger's brother. When I lost him in 99 I was devastated, so I found a website that sold shadow box like picture frames and the back of the frames have enough room for his ashes. I have Tony in there and when Tigger passes she will be reunited with her brother. Some people think it is rather morbid but I love my babies and this was my way of dealing.

Oh yes, by the way....my home away from home...my camper.....

Hope you all enjoyed and felt welcome. I loved having everyone.

    Thanks --- Meg

WOW, what a nice home you have! I love Cape Cods .... I think that is pretty much what mine is too! I love your country kitchen ... the hanging ceiling rack is something I've always wanted, but we just don't have enough room!

I also love your living room drapes with the grapes across the top, very creative! Your living room is so homey and comfy with all of the adorable cats and cows! I felt right at home there, and I hope you don't mind I just HAD to take a quick nap on your Cat comforter in your bedroom!!!

Thank you for a most wonderful visit!

What a neat thread!!! I think there should be something like this in General, for all PT'ers to give tours of their homes. That way the people without cats could participate too. I hope Edwina and Eddie will give us a tour of their home. I heard its a palace.

    Nice house Catlover4ever!

I love the blue color of your house. And all those cat related items!! WOW Great plate collection! But how do you manage all the plants and things? My cats would have them a wreck!

Oh my goodness, I absolutely love it. Your house is fantastic. All the decorations and collections makes it look so homey and cottagey. All the cat stuff is great! I have one question. How can you manage to keep the little ones from knocking everything down?! Oreo would have a fit at the pots and grapes hanigng in the kitchen, lol!

Thank you all so much. I have to say that I really do enjoy my home. As for some of the questions....

Kim..yes those are all cat collector plates in my dining room. My mom started my collection for me. I have 10 going across the upper part and I have 4 from one collection down one side of the wall and 4 from another collection down the other side. I actually have 4 more to another collection but I don't know where I'm going to put them.

Jen....the only one that bothers my plants (none of which are toxic to the kitties) is Smokey....he feels the need to eat some of them...then of course he gets sick and throws up...you would think he would learn by now.

CatMama...Tigger is the only one that gets into trouble with the pots and pans in the kitchen...she likes to get on top of the fridge and try to walk across the rack with the pans....she also likes to go up above the cabinets and walk across the curtain rod over the sink....thank goodness she is only 6 pounds and not heavy enough to take the rod down.

Mark thinks I am absolutely NUTS with all the cats and cows. Oh well, I tell him he can move out anytime...but he does not seem to be moving anytime soon!!!

What a beautfil house! I love the cat quilt -- I want one!!! I think the memorial to Tony is beautiful. We have our RB Sammie (dog) in a beautiful walnut box. When my grandmom passed, we put the ashes of RB Tiny and RB Molly with her in the coffin (most people thought that was realy morbid, but now she has her best friends forever with her.)

What a beautiful house you have! My house looks like a dump to the side of your house.

It will take awhile to get mine to look presentable, if I can ever get it to look good at all! Its nothing fancy, we had some leaks, and haven't repaired the ceiling, though we did put a new roof on the house. No leaks now, but still need to do some ceiling repair work!

Anyway, I know you do enjoy your house, as you should, it is so beautiful. Thank you for inviting us into your beautiful home!

You have such a gorgeous house! I'm beginning to get the idea that you like cats.. I can't wait til I'm done with school, get settled and can buy a great house with plenty of land!

    Gorgeous grounds! Must be nice!!
