Today is the day we got maggie, on December 24, 2002 maggie became apart of our family.
I have always wanted a cat, and I remember thinking what it would be like having a cat around. And I remember telling my parents how much I wanted a cat, but they would say no.
But I never gave up on it. I still beged. But, on Christmas Eve, my mom walks in to the house. (She said she had to run to the store), she un-ziped her coat and hands me the tiny grey, fluffy kitten. I didnt know what to say. I was speechless. My eyes were gettig teary-eyed because I was so happy! and when I was able to talk again all I could keep saying was Thankyou Thankyou!
When we were letting maggie explore our house she would climb up the Christmas Tree! hehe, we thought it was all funny. after getting her stuff set up my parents letted me have alone time in my room with her. I just couldnt believe I had a cat! I started thinking of names, Hmm..My first thought was Tina! Tina is a pretty name.. Then my mom came in and told me what the Shelter said about her. They said she had a "M" on her for head and they would say she was the manger cat of Jesus Christ. So we both imediatly thought Maggie! It was perfect and I knew I had a perfect cat.
So maggie, I love you and I will always be there for you. whether you get sick or hurt, You'll always have a lap to lay on. You are my baby girl, and I love you. Happy gotcha day sweetheart!
