    would you.....

I've always wanted to ask this for a long time, but just forgot. If you guys could choose, would you want to have eternal life? and never die?
I'm guessing many will say no, that they don't want to live forever, but I think I would like to. I would love to live to see how this world gets to many when many years pass. I think it'll be interesting.
I would also like to see answers to all our mysteries in the world, and I'm pretty sure that after some time, they will get solved.
So what would you guys pick?

No, it scares me to think about what more humans could do to this planet. I don't want to see it, and can only hope nothing too extreme will happen in my lifetime. Also, I wouldn't want to out-live all my loved ones, especially if I have children one day.

Same here PCB. I dunno I try to love life but when I'm 100, I wouldn't really mind going. Or so I think. Humans have done so much to this world, I really don't want to live through dozens of wars or arguments. I know good stuff can come along but what if my family, friends and pets can't be immortal? Without them, what is there to live for? *shrugs* I say no.

Yep, I agree too. We'll see everything going on in Heaven and be really glad we're not here, I'm sure.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.

In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

No, I wouldn't. If my pets can't be immortal, then I would not like too. I would miss them way too much and never see them again. I also agree with Primabella. I would hate to see more horrible things happen in this world.

    I agree.

One of my favorite novels/movies is about someone who's sorta immortal (Orlando, by Virginia Woolf). The twist is that every generations Orlando switches genders. THAT would be interesting!

Since I don't know if heaven exists and am fairly sure that it doesn't, this would be the closest I could get to "everlasting life." I don't know that I'd take it. Like Icey said, you'd have to deal with losing everyone you loved.

My one condition for becoming immortal: my husband would have to be immortal as well.

Honestly I don't think I care to live forever, not on this planet, but I do want to live a long and healthy life with all my faculaties about me , if I possibly can.

There is too much pain, suffering and cruelty on Earth, and I don't think it is going to get better, so I don't want to be around to see it all.

I think it would depend on a lot of things, but for right now I'd have to say no.

    yeah, that will be nice

I asked my sister this question, and she said that it'll be nice if you and a group of people were all immortal. I agree with her, or else it'll be boring and sad that you have to leave loved ones over and over again
