Whohere has adopted their pet from a shelter? Bunnies, hamsters, birds, turtles, guinea pigs, hedge hogs, anything

I adopted my rabbit from my shelter ...

3 mice came from a local SPCA (kill type shelter)

2 cats came from that same shelter

and

8 cats came from local no-kill shelters

the other 3 cats came off the street (so to speak)

I adopted my bunny from the shelter. but he is now at the RB

Dudley was adopted from the humane society.
As for the ratties, Peanut and Sweet Pea were born here at my house. Fred, Oscar, Nugget, Chloe and Daisy- came from the pet store.

i adopted my dog beenie from the shelter.he's a pomarainian.

Hi! I met Baby, our guinea pig at the local shelter while shopping for a dog. He wheeked at me begging for something. I petted him and was amazed at his sweet nature. Less than a week later, I was in tears because I didn't want him put down. So I took my 7 yr old daughter with me to get him. We held him and that was all it took.

Today, he lives in a coroplast cage in our living room happily begging for fruit, veggies and attention.

well most of you know ash adopted us, off the street he was, sooti i rescued from the cold after his owner left him and his 4mth old kitten friend outside as he had to leave his unit to go to jail, but he did keep feeding them, but i was not happy them being out in the cold, they were going to be taken back to the s.p.c.a or cats protection league, he just had not gotten around to it, so hubby and i went and took them here one cold night and that was that

We adpoted our 2 boys Hoss and Buddy from the ASPCA. There such sweeties!

Weve only gotten 2 dogs from the pound, my mom and sister don't beleave in mix breed dogs, there all bad in there eyes.

Mozart we adopted from a shelter that was at Petsmart one weekend (they are there every weekend)..

Bach we adopted as well..

and Eliza, was also adopted from Petsmart (different shelter though, the one we went to a couple yrs ago, had two shelters there every weekend)... she went to my in-laws, who ended up not wanting her, so we adopted her from them, and she's here to stay!
