    You can call her Chip!

I took Nakita to the vet yesterday to get microchipped. Since I will be going to the cottage soon, I thought it would be a good idea 'just in case' she somehow escapes. So from now on you can call her Chip!

The vet asked me to put Nakita on the scale to weight her. When I opened up the carrier, she ran around the front office, through the supply area, behind the reception desk, under the chairs in the waiting room and then back out to me.

The last time I weighed her was back in December when I had her spayed. She weighed 4.3 pounds in December and now weighs a whole 4.9 pounds! She's such a tiny mite at 11 months old!

Will she mind if we call her Chip? What about "Little Miss Nakita Chip"?

    LOL LOL You said it!!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I think you did the right thing getting her chipped. The peace of mind will be a big comfort when you both are at the cottage. Good move!

Wow! I didn't realise how small Nakita really is. She'd look like a kitten in my household. Cirrus is a little over 13lbs, Storm is about 12lbs, and Sunny is a little over 11lbs. I think that microchipping is a great idea. Both Sunny and Cirrus are chipped too.

Well Bastet is called a *Pink Chip* and Nakita definately is a princess so we should call her *Blue Chip*

    LOL!!

What a funny thread! I will have to restrain myself from making any more "Chip" jokes!
