RIP Pretty boy - 1999-2011

Dear Spike,


I love you more than you knew, or you would let me..and then all too suddenly, I had to say goodbye without warning.

For all the times you have 'allowed' me to touch your head, rubbed your head against my toes, fed you your favourite treats, you returned the love by showing affection in your eyes..it's ok that I really never got to hug, or cuddle you..you knew I love you unconditionally...and forever.

For all of these things I am greatful, you were a special, but challenging little guy. You were friendly and happy as long as you werent challenged, you lived your little furry life on your own terms.. Your beauty was striking, you were always quite happy, and lived on your terms.

We lived, loved and touched eachothers lives in so many ways..my memories of you will never fade. You rounded out the kitty klan..I think something in you left me and went off with Tinkerbelle, I could tell you were sad and not the same at all as when she was here. I know you were grieving, 12 years together with her is a long long time in kitty years.

You were my 'lil dude', I could always count on you for a smile, from your goofy antics, and endearing little quirks.

You will live on in my heart, in a special place right beside Tinkerbelle.

Love really never dies, and you are loved and missed.

I wish that I could have told you, in words you'd understand, I wanted you to stay with me, I wish somehow I could tell you the emptiness you left behind. A part of me went with you, a part that time cant heal. I wish that I could hear your deep, loud purr once more, look into your beautiful eyes, touch your soft and beautiful fur again just once. I hope that someday we'll be together again, all of us, in a far far better place.

Good bye and I love you my pretty boy...sleep softly...I know you're in a better place with the best of company, Tink will take care of you til I get there.

Ohhhh, so very sorry to hear it! :-( He was so beautiful!
Sounds like you understood each other fabulously well. What a wonderful friendship you had! You made his stay here on earth a wonderful sojourn and he gave you much happiness...enough to last you a lifetime...enough to last until you see him again...
I believe these separations are just a "pause" in the big scheme of things...
But in the meantime, I'm so sorry for your sadness.

We all know your pain because we've suffered that same pain - and probably will again. Words cannot erase it, but knowing that you're not alone will give you something to lean on. Fortunately, the pain is all ours; our beloved furchildren at the Bridge know only happiness - a deep, profound joy that we cannot begin to imagine. Spike is gloriously alive, absolutely healthy, and blissfully happy; cry for yourself - you need to do that - but force a smile, no matter how slight, for Spike and the joy he now knows. (The most beautiful smile is the one that must break through tears.) You *will* be reunited with him, and that reunion will be forever. That doesn't much help the pain now, i know; only time will ease that. I'm glad you wrote of your love for Spike in the present tense; so often, people say or write that someone *was* loved - but they live on, and so does the love!

May Spike's Creator hold you gently in the hollow of His hands, comfort you, and lead your heart to peace.

What a beautiful Cat you are Spike.
I too have had Cats who were not cuddlers or lap Cats , but the love was always there between us.
Spike has his job ahead of hom with Our Awesome Angels Army in Paradise, and Spike will find you a place where you will reunite as well as visiting you to make sure taht you all right.
The good thing is that we will be all together in love.

Oh no, I couldn't believe my eyes when I just saw this! I'm so very sorry, and I think it's just not fair ... But a bond like that can never really be cut, not even by death. Now he's with Tinkerbell again, and they're your furry angels now.
