He doesnt seem to want to walk

I have Milkman, a male kitten whos about 4 months old now, who was from a inbreed litter and he was the biggest and seemed perfectly normal until the kittens started to walk and he fell a bit behind the rest of the kittens(i have his sisters from the litter as well) but could walk well enough and then when he seem to catch up suddenly he began to use less and less of his hind legs and could barely drag himself around. The couple i got him from was going to put him down and i was heart broken. I just assumed he was just getting beaten out for food by the two other stronger kittens so i brought them home and i made sure he got his own food and again he started to get better and with vitamins he began to walk again(very unstable but he could pull himself up and take a few steps)
I was so happy but then he started to do it all over again. He'd rather roll around. I bought more vitamins and started doing a bit of leg exercises and did little helped along walks
Does anyone know any explanation? He isnt sick hes healthy and i cant figure out why he keeps deciding against walking. Both of his sisters are perfectly healthy.
He's the cutest thing and has stolen my heart all i want is for him to get better. (If not i wont be to sad i'll love him all the same)

I'd highly suggest a visit to the vet.

While he may not be 'sick', it's possible he has a nerological problem, or possibly a problem with his spine, spinal cord, or even heart problems (sometimes they can cause blood clots in the legs). A vet will help you find out what's wrong with him, and what you might be able to do to help him.

Laura's Babies has a CH kitty named Amy. Here is a link to a video from one of her posts. You might find it helpful. MAYBE this is what Milkman has.

And this one from YouTube is great also!

I really do want to take him to the vet but at this point(just moved out on my own and all) I dont have much money
I've been working extra hours so that i can get caught up with my bills and im trying to save up the cash for a visit
i found a free check up&im thinking bout trying that

The first video wouldnt load up for me but charley and gordon where adorable
Milkman could walk like gordon when he was a kitten

My boyfriend who is taking engineering classes is coming up with several ideas to help build muscle in his hind legs

Hi, lizbob - yes, money is really tight! If there is a vet school somewhere near you, that might save you some $$ in the future.

IF Milkman has CH, then his problem is neurological, and muscle building doesn't cure it. However...a little strengthening never hurt. But it's caused by damaged nerves, and nothing to do with fitness.

If you can get that free checkup, the vet might mention whether the back leg muscles seem weak or not. Best of luck with that!
