    I am so sad today...

    Hi everyone
I have 2 cats at home and another group of 40 cats who live in the streets around my building. I feed them every day and take good care of them. They are all sterilized and healthy. Yesterday’s night I went feeding them, as usual, and found that Pitssi is laying down dead on the road… She was hit by a car.
Pitssi was a beautiful cat, red and white with big round eyes …
This is the reason why this day is so sad for me. I cant think of anything else but her big round eyes.

I am very sorry for your loss of Pitssi. Was she one of your cats, or one of those you fed?

Welcome to Pet Talk, I wish it was under different conditions though

Thanks for your welcome; and yes, Pitssi was one of the cats I am taking care of in the street. I love them all as I love the cats in my apartment. They all have names, and I take care of them every day.
I hope my Pitssi went fast and did not suffer.
She has a twin sister called Tssipi, and I think she is also mourning today.

To lut: my name is indeed Maya.

Welcome Maya To Pet Talk. Hope you'll like it here.

So sorry to hear of the death of one of your street furkids - hopefully Pitssi went quickly and wasn't aware of what happened.
You did all you could to make her short stay on earth a happy experience - bless you. Her sister is probabley mourning her death - poor thing. {{{Hugs}}} coming over the miles.

    Maya - welcome

    Welcome to Pet Talk, Maya.

I am so sorry to hear about the cat you loved so, getting hit by a car. It does happen and it happens everywhere, with ferals and domesticated cats too. Cars and pets do not mix. It is nothing you did or didn't do. It was time for that poor kitty to head out of this life as you know it. I too hope that the kitty didn't suffer. They usually go quickly when hit by a car.

You are so sweet to take such wonderful care of the other cats and especially the difficult cats..... as I am sure there are some that are less friendly and hard to capture etc. etc.

    Again, welcome to Pet Talk.

I hope you can picture another pair of eyes tomorrow.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost little Pitssy.! I hope she went fast and didn't feel any pain. It's so sad!!

It's wonderful to hear you're taking care of all these cats in the street, I wish more would help the way you do! We have one backyard cat we're feeding - a sweet old male.

    Welcome to Pet Talk!

Thank you all for your support, I really need it today.
Especially since I am at work now, and no one here really care about cats.
They simply cannot understand what is the big loss, so a cat died…
Here everyone of you understands my pain. Hope I will have better things to share in the future.

I know what you mean, Maya. The worst thing is when you lost a cat and people only say "Well, it's just a cat".

Here you can share your feelings and everyone will understand.

Welcome to Pet Talk, and I'm so sorry to hear about poor Pitssi. I agree, cars and cats just don't mix.

But like everyone has said, it's so wonderful of you to take care of the street cats, and to care for them. Hopefully we can see some pictures and here more stories about your inside 2 and the rest of your clan.

I'm also very sorry to hear about Pitssi's death. Just remember that it's not your fault and that you are such a great person to feed the street cats like you do. I'd also like to welcome you to Pet Talk. You'll love it here. The people here care as much about their animals as you do. I hope that this helps ease some of your pain today.

    Maya, welcome to Pet Talk.

It always breaks my heart when I see a cat that has been hit by a car. Let us pray that she went to the Rainbow Bridge rapidly.

What a dear person you are to feed the street cats. You can be sure when you post here, that everyone understands the love and compassion that you have for furkids.

Please stay with us and share more stories about your own cats as well as the street cats.

First I would like to welcome you to pet talk. And I'm sorry to hear about the cat getting run over. But at least you made her life a little easier for her and all of her friends. And thank you for helping to take care of the feral cats, they need someone too.
