A shy cat who has come a LONG way - Fern

Here is a cat, adopted at about 1 year of age, who took an eternity to come out of her shell.

She was a hider extrodinaire.

It took 6 YEARS before she would even place her feet on my lap!

Now, after 11 1/2 years she finally is TOTALLY relaxed.......

I HAVE A FEW SCARDEY CATS AS WELL, JOHN HANCOCK THE HANDSOME TOOK 5 YEARS BEFORE I COULD EVEN GINGERLY PET HIM, PRECIOUS LA PURRFECTA WAS REALLY TIMID AND DID NOT LIKE OTHER CATS EXCEPT HER FRIEND SAM AKA SHEMP THE CAT.
EVEN PRINCESS THE PURRFECT AFTER ALL THESE YERAS IS SKITTISH AROUND THE OTHER CATS.
WE ARE SO GLAD THAT FERN AND CHARLES HAVE SUCH A STRONG BOND, IT MAKES ME FEEL SPECIAL TOO WHEN MY CATS COME AND SEE THIER OLD CAT DAD.

I am laughing at the "cuddler" in this picture! It is clearly Fern doing the cuddling here. Charlie is going to get up with a crick in his neck after giving up his pillow and laying like that!
