Photos from Pet Rock Festival Sept 14 (pic heavy)

Sunday Sept 14th, I hosted a table for Small Paws Rescue at the Pet Rock Festival in Worcester, Mass. Another SPR volunteer helped, along with her husband. We set up during down pours of rain. When the Festival opened at noon, the rain ceased, so we just dealt with heavy cloud cover, and CROWDS! Last year this event had over 9,000 people attend, the results for this year's event haven't been posted as yet. Thank goodnes for Debar Goldsmith and her husband, Craig, I don't know how Dad, the dogs and I would have managed without their assistance! These photos are in no order, just shots from the event. Over 100 rescues had tables, and then there were vendor booths as well.

We were next to Old English Sheepdog Rescue.

This lovebird just sat on a shoulder for any one family member, and stays with them where ever they go! Wings are NOT clipped, he has just always been this way.

Now, I specifically ASKED which breed this was. I 'thought' Italian Spignone, I was wrong and she told me what he is and now I forget! He IS a champion, she does shows with him! Edit" PBGV - Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen

    That's all!

The scene in the family room back at home later that evening.
On the loveseat: Lacey (left) Sugar (right). On the floor, Marlin (left) and Ozzy under his blankie.

I like that dog that looks like a black and tan miniature poodle.

Oh Sandie thank you for taking your camera along. Of course any good Pet Talker "wouldn't leave home without it" . I love those kinds of events and soaked up a little piece of the fun through your pictures. Of course the poodles were gorgeous, (I especially loved the apricot standard service dog!) but so were all of the dogs. I think that my favorite shots of the whole group were your little family of four by the loveseat. Nope, no one else is going to sit there any time soon! I'm glad you and your dad had such a good day. (Next time have him hold the camera for a minute and take a picture of you! )

Looks like a lot of happy pups.
I would love if we had an event like that.

Wow, that does look busy. I have always attended as a spectator, must be fun but crazy working the event. Looks like your four were great ambassadors for the breed. I would have gone crazy next to the Old English Sheepdog booth; I have always wanted and OES. But, the best picture of all is the one of your four recovering from the day. How cute.
