    My play date....by Tehya

    WOoooo PT

I got to visit my friend, Popeye, this weekend.

Mom took me and Earle out to his Mom's cabin.

It's very pretty there and the lake is still all frozen so we went walking on the ice!

We were actually in a bit of trouble here cuz we went didn't come back when Mom called us, til about the 100th time! Me and Earle got leashed up for a little while til we decided to listen better!

Then Mom let me loose so I could chase Popeye, since the whole point of these play dates is tire us both out!

I like chasing Popeye. I do not like being the dog getting chased. I like to do the chasing!

    More coming....

We chased some seagulls and fell through the ice when we went too far out! Don't worry, it's very shallow and we just had to stand up!

We found some very interesting stuff melting outta the ice. Mom wouldn't let me sleep on the big bed that night cuz she said I stunk like a dead fish! It was yummy, trust me!

I played with Earle too. He's fun and Mom says he needs to get more exercise. His thyroid thingy doesn't work right so he gets a little chunky!

Earle likes to play in the mud!

He got a bit dirty! Silly Earle!

Running on the ice is fun. I've never done that when I didn't have my harness on and I could just go wherever I wanted! Fun, Fun!! Afterwards, we went to Ms. Michelle's cabin and we had some snacks and drinks. Then we came home. Mom says we stunk up the truck!

Oh, yah, there was a little girl there who is very special needs. She is the daughter of another lady who was walking with us. She was born way too early and even though she's 4 now, she is still very fragile. Mom was worried about how I would act with her cuz yanno I can be a bit rammy! But I was very good. One time all the other dogs came racing back and were gonna crash into that kid's stroller, but I put myself in front of her and barked at them! They wised up and went around! I got liver bites for that move!

Oh, Tehya, what a special girl you are! Thanks for protecting that little girl! Maybe when she grows up, she will have a black and white doggie like you!

And Earl, you look very handsome in your picture, even if you are a little bit dirty!

    Been there; Sang that song!

Oh my gosh, it's amazing to see dogs like that in an environment where they just look so natural. Very nice photos, Tamara, thank you for sharing!

Thank you, Ms. Karen. That girly had an all black dogger, but he was an old dogger when that girly was born. He didn't run and play like me. He went to heaven not too long ago. It was very sad, but her family is looking for just the right dog to adopt again.

Miss Teyha, I was so impressed to read how you protected that little girl. What an amazing doggie you are.

No wonder you have so many friends and have such a great time

Wow, that was a very busy day. I bet you were exhausted when you got home. I like it when you go visit Popeye, because then we get to see pictures of that handsome guy. The picture of you chasing the seagull is just stunning, truly beautiful. And the picture of the three husky boys with their heads together made me smile. Ooh yeah, Peaches used to be stuck on the leash for the rest of the day and the entire next day when she didn't listen to Mom. But it is a good thing your Mom let you off again, because you were able to protect that little girl, but we know that you are nice like that. Good girl, Tehya.

Love all the pictures. The scenery ones are just beautiful! I too can't imagine living there. The action shots of the dogs are wonderful too. Such a great looking group of dogs.

Woooos, Tehya and Earle! Tehya, I'm proud of you for getting between the other doggers and the little girl. Earle, I am happy to see photos of you ANY time! HUGS and more HUGS even though you are muddy and you smell like fishies.

    Hi Tehya,
Thank you for telling us about your play date. I always enjoy seeing your pictures, too.

In the last picture of you, it looks like not one single foot is touching the ground. Can that be true? Can you run so fast that all of your feet are moving at the same time? You are a very busy girl!

Wooos and a-rooos Tehya! You had a busy busy visit! Good job watching out for the kiddo, that's a really important job and it's cool you took it on all by yourself. Playing with Popeye looks like fun! Earle is soooo handsome, even with a little mud, it's good to hear your gonna be his "personal trainer". In that last picture, it looks like your so happy you're walking on air! Ha-roo-roo-roo!

I am good. Most of us are doing ok. Pirate hadda go to the vet yesterday. Mom's gonna post in health about that. Ozzy is in big trouble cuz he tried to eat Ivy yesterday. Ivy didn't get hurt, cuz Mom was right there, but I think it's gonna be awhile before Ozzy gets in the house again. He's gonna be crated forever I bet! Mom was some kind of mad at him. She said some words I aint never heard before! Oh, my babydog ears!

Mac learned to run on the bike the other day. Mom has to get her bike fixed before they go again cuz she ain't got no brakes left. But it's good for Mac cuz he aint allowed to run loose anymore so he has to get his exercise some other way. Bandit is mad cuz he thinks the bike is just for him. Mom is gonna have to do alot of biking to keep everyone happy and tired this summer!

I think that's about it. We are just laying around, blowing our coats mostly!
