    Happy First Birthday Raven (09/06/07)

    I'm making this thread tonight as I don't know if I'll have a chance to tomorrow. Things are very crazy for me right now as I am preparing to move next week to Illinois. But I wanted to make a birthday thread as my little blackbird is turning 1 tomorrow. I did not get her until December last year, but on Sept 6, 2006, my little happy Raven was born. A few months ago, I did not even know if she would live to see her first birthday, after she was diagnosed with malignant oral cancer. Thanks to the unending prayers and amazing generosity of Pet Talkers, Raven was able to have the cancer successfully removed, and against grim odds, it never came back. Oral cancer is one of the most aggressive cancers and all too often fatal. We've been through so much already in the past 9 months, my little blackbird and I. She has helped put a salve on my broken heart during a divorce. She has given me inspiration and hope as she battled cancer and won. She helped show me how many people really do care about me and are there for me in my darkest hour. I wish I could throw her a doggy party, take her to the dog park for a couple hours or out hiking. But she will receive lots and lots of love, as always. Happy birthday vivid, happy Raven!

    Happy birthday pretty girl!!!! I remember so well your picture from the Humane Society page, and how you seemed so alive even there, you reached out and grabbed at my heart! I was SO happy when your mom brought you home. I remember the joy and happiness you brought her, and the moments of being a brat as you ate through several keyboard cords=x, and the fear when you got sick, and then again the joy when you beat the cancer. You are a very special girl with a very special mom.

    Raven, you're such a heart stealer. You helped Mom through alot, and really made her feel loved. Happy Birthday, gorgeous Raven!

    We are glad you beat cancer, you're a fighter, lover, and best friend. I hope you have the best birthday possible!

    You are such a gorgeous girl! I'm so glad that you fought so bravely through the cancer and have been such a big help to you mom throughout all the personal troubles! Our furrkids really are the best! Big hugs and kisses going out to you, dear Raven!

    Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

    Happy birthday, Raven. I bet you're such a delight in your mommy's life. you're one gorgeous girl! and I am so glad you beat cancer. She is such a long legged sweetheart. Do you think she has dane in her since she is so tall? Not that it matters.. she is just a gorgeous, gorgeous girl. black dogs have a way worming themselves into your heart, don't they?
