Romeo

I went to check on Romeo and the other hamsters. I noticed that Romeo wasn't up and playing which he usually wasn't at this time something tugged at me to check in his nest to see how he was anyways. When I lifted up his igloo I knew straight away that he had passed away in his sleep. He was laying curled up and stiff as ever. I pet him praying that he would wake up but he never did. He kept laying there looking as though he would wake up and give me a dirty look for disturbing him and then jump up and down asking to come out and play.

I got Romeo on January third 2006. I had actually intended on getting a black mottled dwarf boy but fell in love with Romeo's sweet nature. For a few months I was unsure on his gender and his name what back and forth from Romeo to Romette until I saw his *ahem*. He was a sweet hamster who enjoyed coming out and seeing what was new. He was a great friend and I loved him so. I wish he had never left and I still can't believe he is gone.

I'm so sorry to hear that your sweet hamster Romeo has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.
He was such a handsome little guy, I loved all the photos you posted of him.

rip romeo. it is so sad to hear how people lose there pets, but it is nice to get support from everyone on PT.

I had tears in my eyes when i read this. it reminded me of the shock of finding my rabbit bunnikins dead in her nesting box. it is awful when someone you love so much passes away with no warning. At least Romeo died in his sleep. that is the best way to go. Goodbye sweet romeo.
