Icess is moving to Arizona!! 4/3/07 UPDATE PAGE 2

My parents live in Arizona and have for almost 8 years. With my Nauna (grandma) being very ill, they have decided to come out and visit her and the rest of us. I have not seen them in about two years. Money just has not been there for either of us to travel. It is so nice to see them! They leave on Monday, and I will miss them all over again, but at least I have had some time with them, and one more thing. They are taking Icess home!! You all remember Icess, right? The lil' deaf kitty from the Richland County Animal Control? Well, he is finally going home!! I am so excited for him. He has a 4 1/2 hour plane ride after that it is a long life of leisure and spoiling! I love this part of rescuing! Makes it all worth wild!! Here is a couple of pics of my folks. They aren't the best because my dad kept making my mom laugh! They will be married 35 yrs in September. Here are some of Icess too. My mom spells it Isis, I like it Icess! Which ever, he is still a handsome fellow!

I don't want to know what my dad just said to my mom!!

My dad is a funny Italian man!

    Hello PT friends!

I do not like the flash on your camera!

    Okay, I'm not lookin'!

    Go away Dozer!

Can I go back to sleep now?

Okay, one more picture, but that's it!!

I will miss him, but I am so glad he is going to his forever home with my folks!!

My folks adopted Icess a while ago, paid for the neutering, shots, and testing back in October...but they haven't been able to get out here to get him. Better late then never I say!! Beleive it or not, my mom goes to a dang tanning spa! I tell her all the time that she is crazy. She lives in AZ and goes to a tanning spa! Just crazy!

My parents live in Gold Canyon. Not sure exactly what direction from Phoenix. They lived in Mesa for a few years but chose to move.

I lived in Sedona for a couple of years and worked a lot in Phoenix. It's too bloody hot to sit in the sun for any length of time, especially in Phoenix. Many Phoenicians went to Sedona on the weekends to cool off. I tanned in the beds, too. Still do. It's the only 10 minutes at a time that I get all to myself. And it feels good on the bones.

That is exactly what my mom says! I still think she is too funny though! My dad says she is crazy, but in a way I understand. It is hot out there in the summer. I live out there in '99 for almost a year...so I understand!

Gold Canyon is East of Phoenix (and Mesa) on Hwy 60. I'm not all that far from Gold Canyon, actually.

I don't use tanning beds... in fact until last summer I hadn't had a tan the entire time I lived in AZ. But we built a pool out back last year, so I got pretty tan, using sunblock even.

I like the Isis spelling as that was the name of a Greek goddess:

Egyptian Religion. a goddess of fertility, the sister and wife of Osiris and mother of Horus, and usually represented as a woman with a cow's horns with the solar disk between them: later worshiped in the Greek and Roman empires.
