Freckles was assisted to the Rainbow Bridge today March 12th after a long illness.
Freckles “gotcha” date was April 18, 1993 from the Oregon Humane Society. She was estimated to be three years old. I think I picked the prettiest cat there!
Freckles was always by the door when I came home from work, meowing and telling me her day’s activities. She was a friendly cat welcoming who ever came to the house.
She was COTD Dec. 20, 2000.
About 2001 she started having chronic stomach issues and later renal failure. She has been continually treated with special foods and medications. The vet thinks Freckles Predicament exacerbated the situation - made it worse.
Her weight for years was about 10 lbs, and the last couple months declining to 8.2 at the last because she had no interest in food .
She was a important part of my life for 13 years, and I’ll miss her.
