    New Additions

We have two new additions to the family !!
Two budgies named Bow (green) and Arrow (gray)
The great part is i think they are in their first stages of the mating process. They seem to be quite sweet on each other

Heres a little glimpse of them a few weeks ago.

It looks like you have two females there. I was told that a male would have blue around it's beak and a female would have a lighter color like brown or a peachy color. Are you SURE they're in the mating process? Are you SURE what their sexes are?

Males will have blue around the beak when they get older, they are still young, but i think they mature sexually at a young age.
No, im not sure they are in the mating process, but from what ive read, their actions fit that description perfectly

My two budgies are both boys and they are so attached to eachother. They are always kissing and preening eachother. Your birdies are very cute indeed! Here is a fact: Male budgies will mount other males. Weird hah! Congrats on your new babies! PS I love your hedgie. I have one too. His name is Guiness.

Hey luckies4me, I used to have 2 male parakeets also, and they used to groom each other a lot too. But either of them never mounted the other one. It was real sad when one of myne died the other one was real sad and was calling for him all over the house

Ya it's really sad when they are so attached to eachother and one of them dies. It is cute watching them being so lovey though. I hope you have a great time with your new additions!

How do you tell if they are a male at a young age? I went to Orscheln's the other day and some of them had blue around the beak, does this mean they are too old to be tamed?
