Dearest Doctor Dog, you are precious! What an adorable Lhasa Apso you are, indeed! You're so sweet in that great photo, and thank you for sharing it with us. And what a story you have to tell! You came from a puppy mill raid and were sheltered at the Humane Society. One of the volunteers helping the dogs fell in love the minute she met you, and she brought you HOME! You were very scared from your earlier experiences, but you settled quickly into your new safe and caring and loving world! And with your dear person's help, you're learning how to get along with other people and dogs. She's very happy you picked her to be your guardian angel! You love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Doctor Dog, on being chosen Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear person and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
And we hope the other puppy-mill dogs found wonderful new homes, the puppy mill was shut down, and the evil alleged-humans who ran it were prosecuted and punished severely. Blessings to your person and you and to all the other dogs and the people who rescued you all and got that place shut down! May the day finally come when these evil operations are totally cracked down upon and then outlawed.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
