Hmmm. I wonder if it works in other languages. It makes sense for alphabet based languages, but what about symbol-based ones? And HOW would you test it????

This has been posted before. I am a very fast reader, but spelling mistakes bother and distract me. I just worry about this study affecting students' willingness to learn proper spelling!

I wonder if they've tested how long it takes the average person to read that sentance as is as opposed to how quickly they could read it spelled correctly!

Now I could understand it but don't everyone start talking like that :p

I've never seen that before, but I could understand it almost perfectly! I think I stumbled on one word. I think this is probably why I am a terrible proof reader :)

You can read it but it takes you longer. I am with Karen- if you are a fast reader, the worng words just jump into your mind as if they were blinking signs.:)

Yeah, I remember reading a thread like this and I found it sooo awesome!!! I had trouble reading a few words, but other than that, did pretty good.
