TigerBlossom's Kemo died Christmas Eve...

I spent the last two weeks with friends and family. Some of you may remember my sister who's screen name is TigerBlossom. On Christmas Eve, her dog was killed. Kemo was a darling, and deserves a tribute.

He was 9 and a half years old, a golden boy, a mix of Chow and German Shepherd -- fun loving, devoted to his people, and a champion to the neighborhood kids. He was named for the Lone Ranger -- Kemo Sabe.

Christmas Eve, the next door neighbor's brother's dogs, who were visiting for the holiday found a weak spot in the fence, and came into our yard. Several of us heard the fight, but thought it was at a distance... When we found Kemo, he was hurt badly. We got his to the vet and it was thought he could be saved. Sadly, the injuries, shock, and his advancing years conspired against him. A little less than two hours later we were told he'd died.

I thought I had his photo with me, it's on the other disk. I'll post it tomorrow. He was a good, lovable boy.

I am so sorry to hear this! That is exactly how I lost my baby Chynna and it is sad, sad memories. I know your pain and you have my prayers and sympathy.

Ugh that is so sad.... :( It just breaks my heart.

Something very similar just happened to my cousin's Papillon, Cosmo. My cousin is in a wheelchair because she was born with this muscular disease, and she went out to take the dogs for a walk, and two of their neighbor's dogs ran over and attacked Cosmo and he didn't even make it to the pet hospital... :( All my cousin could do was yell, watch her little dog get beaten up, and hope that the dogs finally stop attacking it and that Cosmo lives... :( :(
