The guy was seen dumping the injured dog in an alley.
That is so sad. How could anyone EVER do that?:( anyone that does that kind of stuff to animals are sick minded people.
:( :( :(
I was hoping nobody would notice. It's too close to home.:(
I can't post what I posted on the other board I visit because I would get in trouble. Suffice to say that I hope he rots.

What an idiot.
From the article:
"I was going to breed it with my other dog, but they didn't take, so I just decided to get rid of it," he said. "I know this guy and I took my dog over there. And he saw my dog and he wanted it. So I gave it to him."
IT ????? He keeps calling the dog "it" (which I realize is the least of the problems here, but it bothers me)
I hope someone fights him and then leaves him in a field somewhere.
I hope that, if guilty, he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law, loses his position on the team, and has to spend the next YEAR working in an animal-care facility for no pay.
Congratulations to his team for immediately suspending him.
Amen to that!!Quote:

His home has been searched a second time.
In a plea agreement today, Quintel Woods pled guilty to one count of Animal Abuse in the first degree.
He was sentenced to:
12 months probation :(
80 hours of community service :(
No pets for one year:(
$10,000 check to Oregon Humane Society :)
He was suspended from Trailblazers for the season without pay Oct. 12, 2004. Now on waivers so he won't be returning to that team. :)
Home foreclosed in December.:)
It's nice to see the justice system prevail against a "celebrity" :)
I hope he's hung, drawn and quartered. He can watch his own guts being ripped from his body.
No one has ever heard of the Portland Jailblazers????
yes:(
You can be a Laker fan if you want....Quote:

I saw that story today on ABC's website,

Did you see his statement to the court? Unbelievable... :(
I doubt that this experience has really changed him at all,
except financially.
Quote from him:
"I've tried to be a responsible pet owner all of my life," he said in a statement read in court by his attorney. "Because of that I am very sorry and saddened that my dog, Hollywood, was injured. I also deeply regret the concern this has caused other pet owners and citizens in our community. I fully support the goals of the Humane Society and the fine work it does. For that reason, I have decided to make a financial contribution to the Humane Society in the amount of $10,000. Once again, I offer my sincere apology."
Sorry piece of trash. He's only sorry because he got caught. No telling how many other dogs have been victims. If I was that Humane Society, I'd refuse the money. I think I'll fire up my keyboard this weekend and send them(the team head) an email.
Valerie,
The team dropped him.:D If you want to thank them, go for it.:D
I am glad his team suspended him.
If he is found guilty I hope he gets a fitting sentence
for his cruel actions.
