Our Peach is gone.....

Today we took our chesapeake bay retriever, Peach to the vet to have her PTS. She had severe hip displasia, had totally lost all ability to stand, was in considerable pain, unable to control her bodily functions, and had begun to have seizures. We had tried several different medications to control the pain, but in the end there was nothing else that we could do to help her. It was a difficult decision and my heart is breaking right now.

I love you and miss you already.

I'm so sorry. I'm grateful that we're able to do something so kind of our best friends. I know it's so hard to let go,:( but Peach is at that wonderful place waiting for you.:) Try to think about her running and playing again. Maybe that will help a little. Again, I'm so very sorry.

I am so sorry. I know you must be in great pain right now but remember that you gave your Peach the freedom to run free without pain. You did the right thing. Stay strong and know that your girl will be watching over you. I will keep you in my prayers.

I'm so sorry for you loss. When my brother had to make the same decision with his black lab it took the family a long time to get over it. Rest easy, knowing that little Peaches is running and playing with his toys in the RB and she's waiting for you! I pray that God will speed your healing.

Oh Robin how awful for you. I am so sorry, and I can only imagine the pain you are feeling right now. Just know that you did what was best for Peach, I know she is running around and enjoying her life at the Rainbow Bridge. You gave her the ability to have fun and be a puppy again, and she will be eternally grateful to you for that. She is watching over you, and I know you loved her very much.

Although it probably doesn't feel like it now, but you did her
a great kindness & showed true love and respect for Peaches

Thank you all so much! I know that she is in a better place, that she feels no more pain and that she is running with her basketball. I knew here of all places, I would find people who would understand my feelings. I am better today, but my boyfriend Dick is suffering so! He really misses her!!

Peach was the last in the line from his best friend for 16 years, Blue and this is kind of like a passing of an era. Blue was Peach's grandpa and Dick also had her grandma, Amber and her dad Chester. So this makes it really hard for him. I just ache for the sorrow in his voice.

So sorry to hear Peaches is gone. But take comfort in the thought that she'll be making many friends at the Rainbow Bridge, where there's no pain any longer, while she waits for you.

My heart goes out to you and your b/f on your great loss of Peaches. Peaches is now running happy and free from all pain now in the company of all our dear departed. I can see it now, a gathering of all Pet Talkers passed furbabies at Rainbow Bridge, gathering around Peaches and welcoming her.......
