My baby boy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge

My Chuck, my little wuvvy boy went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday around 3:30. :(
We thought he had a stroke but it turned out to be an aneurism in his heart and they couldn't do anything.
I am so wrecked right now. I started a new job today and that got my mind off it all for a little while. but now I am home and he didn't meet me at the door like he always does, and i am crying all over again.
this sucks so bad. i dunno if i have ever been this heartbroken in all my life.
pray for me please.

I am so sad that you and you Chuck have been separated, but you will be rejoined, at the Bridge, One Fine Day.

Please hold on to that, and the sweet memories of Chuck, and the pain shall pass.

I'm so sorry about little Chuck. No matter what happens during the day, when our furkids greet us at the door, life just gets better. But Chuck is ok now and doing well and you will, too, soon.

I am so very sorry to hear of Chuck's passing! I lost my kitty boy, Mittens, back in 1999 to an aneurism in his lung. It happened suddenly, with no warning! It is a terrible shock to lose one so quickly!

Oh ((((Aki)))). I am sad to hear this and I know it hurts so much. This is all of a sudden, poor boy :( but there was nothing you could do. Those things can happen to anyone, animals, humans :(

Chuck probably never felt a thing, and arrived happily at the Rainbow Bridge. There he is surely looking down on you, and sending you head-bumpies and purrs. And, after all, he is still with, both tucked into a curner of your heart, and in the pform of little cat hairs that are omnipresent in every cat-lover's home and wardrobe.

So sorry for your loss. A pets sudden passing is a truly heartbreaking event. Know that you are not alone. He's watching over you from above. Hugs for you.

Thank you everyone. (((((((hugs))))))) This is the first I have been able to come back and read this thread since I wrote it. I didn't know that the human head could hold this many tears. I have done nothing short of cry for the last three days when I am at home. At least at work, my mind is busy. BUt as soon as I come home, and he's not here, the tears come again. I miss him so much. He was my best friend. I know he's still here with me tho. And his whisker box is next to my bed. i am really glad I started saving those. Silly how it helps me somehow. :( God bless you all.

It's been almost 2 months since Chuck went to Heaven, and I am still so sad that I can't quite believe it. :(

I still cry at the drop of a hat and I am starting to think everyone thinks I am a bit looney.

I know that something tragic like this takes a long time to get over. It just sucks. I want him back. I want to pet him and snuggle him. Smell his fur.

The loss of a pet can be as devastating as losing a human family member.
The only thing that heals it is time. It is difficult, but just think.... he is no longer in pain and is happily playing up at the Rainbow Bridge waiting patiently for you to come get him.

Chuck, please let your meowmie know you are okay. She is sad and misses you so much!!

It sometimes takes us longer than others to get over the loss of a pet. When my dog Daisy died, I slept w/her collar under my pillow and saved the tissues that I cried into for years. You'll know when you're finally ready to let it go. Might I suggest, though, that it appears you have another cat, Nina. Lavish her w/lots of TLC right now. It'll help you and she probably needs it, wondering what's wrong w/her mom and feeling sad that she can't do much about it. :)

Thanks guys. Nina is actually our Chihuahua and she acts like she has no idea that he is even gone. LOL! I think she is digging all the undivided attention actually. But I know what you mean. Chuck was like my son and the loss is devastating. I have better days, like today. But last night I bawled all night again. Thanks for all the thoughts. It really means a lot, you have no idea.

I'm very sorry you have lost Chuck.

To get over my Katz's death (and I'm just wondering if "getting over it" is the appropriate choice of words) took me much longer than 2 months, even though I got Luna 5 weeks later. Having Luna around helped a lot, but she didn't replace Katz.

Maybe some day, your heart will be open for another feline friend?

It is so hard to lose a good friend that loved you unconditionally, and was always there for you. You will find comfort in the memories that you have of Chuck. Over the years, we have lost several cats, there is not a day that goes by that I do not think about those wonderful creatures. Sleep softly, sweet Chuck...

I lost one of my cats just like that and it still hurts that he is not around anymore. I have my other cat conforming me.

There's nothing wrong with showing your emotions... it's human and it shows compassion and that you had a deep love for another living thing.

Death is such a hard thing to deal with. I lost my Bear in July, Taz in August, and then my former foster Mac passed away right before Christmas. It's been an overwhelming year, and I cry more than I smile, that's for sure. I know that one day I will feel better, but it will take time, and it's something you can't rush.

Thank you for all the kind words all. It's nice to know there is somewhere to go where people truly understand. I really appreciate it very much. You have no idea.
