Mine is Chick's Drive-In of West Haven. It faces the beach and the clams (I get clam strips) are out of this world!!! The side of clam strips is $12 but it's 2 meals.

Is there a Chick's Drive-In in Ohio?? Phred ought to try them! :D :D :D
I buy mine in a can :o and fry them myself - with garlic and parsley. ;)
Ronnie's, on Rt. 12/20, Auburn MA. (Unfortunately they don't deliver to upstate NY)
Never tried them & not sure I would if I could. :)
Joe's Crab Shack in Orlando Florida. Not only is the food to die for but the atmosphere is awesome too. (Although I prefer muscles to clams)
Too bad I am broke & they don't deliver to NY.
-gulp- fried...clams?
yum yum yum! A little dive in South Carolina, can't even remember the name.....ooh, the seafood. *drooling* how I love fried clams.
I love clam chowder soup and clam dip but I don't think I'd have them fried. ;)

Sorry, Donna. I'm no help. The only clams we see in the south are those fried clam strips and I can't stand them! :o When we were in Massachusetts, I had fried clams and it was the whole thing. That was gross too! This from a person who loves fried oysters! :p
A place called Harbor House in East TN :). I loooove fried clams.
Never tried them, and don't want to...*gags*
Dammit, Donna, now you've got me wanting fried clams and I'm in the middle of Oklahoma!
Not Nice!
we get fresh and steam them from Taylors in Washington.
Amen to that!Quote:

Sounds good but frankly I would rather have fried oysters.....my Mom makes the best. :)
Where's my favorite place to find fried clams??
:eek:nOwhERe!!!!!!!
moosmom, I have never eaten CLAMS!!! wouldn't even know where to buy them , let alone, eat them!!! :D
Tell me what I am missing out on!!!!!
Come out to the east coast, we'll edumicate ya!
Their like very fine strips fried to a golden brown and they chew like thin rubberbands with just a taste of tartar sauce. But the taste?? Nothing else like it! :p I'm hungry.

They are chewy. That's what I don't like about clam strips. When I had the whole fried clam in Plymouth, MA , it tasted like I was eating sand. Everything else was wonderful, there!
I don't "hate" them. I just have seafood choices that I enjoy a lot more. And we have a lot of fresh seafood in SC. Clams aren't here, though.

Never tried them, and probably never will ;)
I have a few places....Hank's Dairy Bar in Plainfield, CT and if I'm in Mystic then it's the Sea Swirl...but I like clam strips not the whole belly clams. :)
