Well guess who was just here...Animal Control. The just wanted to make sure that all the dogs had their tags. Good thing they did! Nothing better than a surprise visit
Hey I did get to the grocery today. Took me forever hobbling around...but I did it! Still not sure about working all day tomorrow though
OUCHIE!!!!
The only reason I do not feed raw to my girls is because I know they would fight over it.. Its just animal instinct, when meat is involved...I would either feed Bon in a different area of the house, or his crate.. Or I would take them off of raw..
Your bite looks awefull.. My mom and I both got inbetween a fight with Tikeya an Baby, and it resulted in both of us getting bitten as well.. My mom got bitten on her arm, and it was alot like yours, the biggest cut had fatty matter coming out of it as well.. Scary stuff.. (I know about how you felt being embarrassed at the hospital). We were sooo weary about telling people it was our own dogs that bit us.. :o
They both do, younger one is at Ohio State, older one lives in Orville.Quote:

Did Animal Control seem ok with everybody? I'll bet they were impressed with your bruise!
OK, now, you did the grocery shopping...is Mark going to be the chef? ;)
So late to check in! OUCH! That Bon has a big ole mouth, doesn't he?
Get better soon.

Anna, I always heard that soft tissue damage can be the most painful
as it heals. :( I'm glad you have some short shifts at work so you're not
on your feet for long. Take it easy & heal up soon. (((Hugs))) :)
No, ...just have to change the information in the files. I think it costs about $12.00 each online. I got to "see" Sherman's microchip on the x-rays of his lungs, so I know his is still in place. They also scanned him, they keep his number on file at the vets office.Quote:

I 100% DISagree with this statement - education is key. And Anna is way more educated on raw feeding than I am.Quote:

Anna knows that this could have happened regardless what she was feeding her crew, when you have more than one dog you will run food agression issues.
*hops off soapbox*
Pat I didn't know you had two sons :o
Glad I could give you a reminder!
And as for Animal Control, they didn't care a bit about me, or the dogs...all they wanted to do is to make sure they had their tags
Mark, a chef...whatever:o:p He does very well at getting take out though:D
And yes, Bon has been fed in his crate since the incident and is not allowed out until the girls are done.
You're *pickin* on him again! :(Quote:

Aw Anna.. I was hopin' you'd feel better..but soft tissue damage is very painful and you sure have a whopper! Sure wish I lived closer to give you help and hugs..*hugs self, pretends it's you* ;)
Speaking of which..thanks zillions you guys for all the house huntin' hints. Ya never know. I did a survey on "Findyourspot.com" a few times and it changes from Wisconsin to NC to Louisiana. I'm going to wait for my lawsuit to settle before I make any decisions. *Sigh* Sure could use a change in my ole' age. :D
btw..Anna.. I love the colors in your rug.
Re: permanent record
*pout* no fair. *sniffle*
Bon, you better be a very good boy for your family from now on otherwise outsiders who don't know your story are going to think you're a big meanie. That would not be a good thing. Trust me on this.
Re: Picture
Awwwwe :) That is so cute!!!
Re: Leg
Yay! Glad you're feeling better!
Anna, that looks ... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...iles/swoon.gif Sorry to hear still as painful as it looks, but getting better every day I hope. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...iles/Hugs2.gif

Ah yes, unfortunately I did. Didn't know that the AC or Health District would be coming though :rolleyes:Quote:

Phred, luckily Mark has a sense of humor and knows I only pick on him because I love him:D
And yes, your right Kay...he makes a mean veggie soup and a pretty good grilled cheese too!
Call me a big baby, but last night my leg was hurting so bad I would have cried if it would have helped and today it already is hurting a lot.
Maybe I'm pushing my self too hard and shouldn't be working but I feel like I'm being a baby if I don't:o
I'm going to try to get into the Dr early today and see what he thinks about it.
Sorry to be crying on your shoulder:(
OK, I'll repeat myself....louder...ANNA, IT'S OK TO TAKE A BREAK!!! If it hurts so bad you want to cry, maybe your body is telling you to take it a little easier for a couple more days. The world will not come to a screeching halt, nor will people decide that you are a big baby! It takes time to heal...really! (((((hugs)))))Quote:

Big baby? No way!! When it hurts it hurts, don't hold it back, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...es/crybaby.gif cry away girl, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...miles/cry2.gifeven howl if you want to. It helps.
Stick your face in Big Bon's neck and have a good cry.......
Anna,
Just checking in. I could tell by your voice last night that you weren't really feeling too good. I'm glad you are going to try and see the doctor. Hopefully he was able to get you in. Let us know what he has to say.
Love ya!
Anna, sounds as though you really do need a break here. Goodness sakes, I would think it would HURT!! I know I would be in tears if it was me.
I hope the Dr. can ease the pain for you - and I wonder if maybe you shouldn't be standing so much?
lots of love and prayers for you Girlfriend!
Sure hope the doctor was able to give you something that would help control the pain better, and I hope that he/she was able to convince to you Take It Easy for a while. I really hope you are feeling better soon.
OK, OK, OK...so I'm going to be taking it easy for a while per the Dr.
Geesh, you guys don't let up till you get your way do you :p ;)
Needless to say I was able to get in this morning and everyone couldn't believe the way my leg looked. Luckily he said it didn't seem to be infected (I didn't think it was) and of course there's really not a lot they can do to help me.
What they did do was to loosely wrap the whole upper part of my leg with an Ace bandage and told me to put heat on it now instead of ice. I guess that's supposed to help the blood in the hematoma move up through my body. I didn't know that the blood gels like jelly...no wonder it's still a big knot.
I already take Relafen so they bumped the amount from 1/day to 2 since it's a blood thinner. And of course they told me to rest my leg :o I just thought that the more I moved it the better it would feel, guess not!
The Dr said they wouldn't give anything stronger than the vicodin, just told me to take 2 instead of 1 and to take them every 4-6 hours.
I also got a note for work to be off until July 9th unless I start to feel better.
Well that's my update for the day. Thanks for letting me ramble. Your going to be hearing much more of my rambling now that I won't be working:D
So, when are you girls coming to see me;)
A couple of pictures attached for anyone who cares to see.
Poor Mark prolly has a hard tyme deciding WHO has the Harder Head ...Quote:

gladly our PT prayers work on you to take some rest ;)
sending husky healing vibes along with hugs and woos
My gosh, that is terrible looking! The human body is fascinating, to say the least. Wow! I'm glad you're going to be resting up some. You need it, poor leg! ;)
You poor girl, I wish there was something I could do. I am glad to hear that the docs don't think it's too serious of a problem & that they gave you a script to rest, that leg needs it. You're in my thoughts sweetie.
Being absolutely an authority on nothing.........I was just worried that your being on the leg so much might do more harm than good.
Dr. knows best - ha - and we got our way didn't we?
I'd drop in if I was closer - but I betcha you will have some "girlfriends" over soon.
Hugs to you Anna and I sure hope you feel better each day.
I can come Saturday!! Do you need me to bring anything?Quote:

Healing {{{hugs}}} being sent your way!
Thanks for the update Anna. I'm glad you now have the "official" word
to give yourself more time & not rush things.Your leg actually looks a little
better in that first picture. Take it easy now ,while you can, & just enjoy
visiting PT a little more often. :)
Even though I'm new to the posts - I just wanted to take the time to say I hope that you heal quickly and don't feel bad about getting in the middle of the fight, because I have done the same thing and ended up getting bitten (but not by my dog - by a neighbor's dog who was attacking my dog.) We love our pets like children, so just as we wouldn't let two children fight each other without intervening - we also can't just sit back and watch our pets hurt each other. I do think that seperating Bon during mealtime is a good idea however, that way you won't have to worry about him displaying aggression sometime in the future.
Anna I am glad that you will probably be spending more time at PT but very sorry that it had to come about this way. I am glad you are getting some time to rest up. It doesn't look like standing on that leg could be a good thing but of course I am not a doctor (nor do I play one on TV....LOL!) :D
i'm glad to hear you're off work longer, you can and will take more meds and you are gonna see friends on saturday. and anna, honey, it really is okay to sit in your yard, with a book, a big glass of iced tea and enjoy 2-3 hours just sitting and enjoying yourself and your dogs. trust me, and try it. hugs joyce
I, too, am glad you'll be resting more. That still looks mighty painful. Take it easy and relax, ok?
And I made you a little something. I hope you feel better soon!

I'm not sure about Saturday. Kimmy's is having Kia's party too, and I'm nit sure if we were going to try to do that, or what I really need to do is stay home and weed my flower garden, and get mulch. If there wasn't a brick border you wouldn't be able to tell the flower bed from the yard it is so overgrown!
oh my goodness anna!! just stopping by in and couldn't believe what I just saw... ((((hugs))))
hope it heals quicker! and give bonbon a pet for me, he must felt so bad!
just .. wow! only three punctures. :( if I were on my roadtrip onto ohio, I'd definitely had stopped by ..
(((another take care hug!))) godspeed the pain.
so are we coming?! ;)Quote:
