I almost squealed in delight!
She said she'd call me later in the day or tomorrow.
She said she's not going anywhere.
If I didn't have plans for the evening I'd be hopping in the car to join them!

Hello Everyone! This is Robin.
Yep, I'm here with Anna. I saw her post yesterday while I was at work and had to call her right away. I told her that maybe I would surprise her and show up at her house one day this weekend. I knew that she wouldn't believe me so I did indeed surprise her. I called earlier today to see how she was and if it would be alright if I came to visit and she said sure, what time will you be here and I said in about 5 minutes, oh no, I'm turning on your road right now...hehehe...I think I surprised her! I mean the girl is still in her pjs! I guess just because she is wounded she thinks she doesn't have to get dressed for me ;) .
Let me tell you that I can't believe the beating her poor leg took. The bruising is just absolutely awful. She has to be in a lot of pain. No way would Bon ever do that on purpose or intentionally try to harm her. He is an animal, a dog and something like this could happen to anyone of us.
I am thrilled to be here. I haven't seen Anna and Mark for so long. The furkids still even remember me and seemed thrilled that I was here. The pups are all so sweet and I just sat right down on the floor and let them roll all over me. I wish you all could meet Bon in person. He is such a super sweetie! He laid right beside me and flopped his big ol head right in my lap.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm here and so happy to be with my wonderful friends!!!!
I just wanted to come back and tell Staci that I wish she could have come also!

Really, I wish everyone could meet Bon too. He really is a big ole goofy boy like I said before.

Oh, I am so glad you went to visit. I think Bon is a handsome guy and I would love to give him a big hug (jealous of Robin) too!!

Robin, I'm so glad you could be with Anna. I think you both need each other right now. So cheer each other up, ok? I still can't believe how big Bon is now. Since you posted yours with him, I thought I'd show everyone how small he used to be. Here you are with Duke and Bon when I visited.
Anna, I hope things are much better today. You have our support here and things will get better.
Robin, I am so glad you went to see Anna today. I am sure it made both of you feel better. Surprise visits from friends when you are feeling bad are a gift from God.
Sometimes after my dogs get into terrible fights I fear how they will behave with each other later. But they seem to act like nothing happened - they are still each part of our familly

I can't thank you all enough for all your well wishes and I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who's been bitten by their dog :p OK, not really "glad" but you know what I mean.
Everyone, what sas said honestly didn't upset me in the least (but thank you all for thinking of my feelings). I'm not sure my first thoughts were to re home him but, it crossed my mind if only for a split second.
I'm going to make sure that this can't ever happen again. They will be fed separately, for their safety and mine. Oh and no, Huney wasn't hurt one little bit. Her fur was wet but that was it. Who knows, maybe if I'd have just left them alone none of this would have happened :o
Karen, nope in no way am I trying to outdo you:p And I'll remember to drink lots and lots of water...lol!
Boy oh boy did I have the BEST surprise ever when Robin showed up today:D We spent the day relaxing and catching up with each other. It was so nice. I wish you all could have been here with us!

Robin's on her way home now so please say a little prayer that her trip is safe.

I'm home! I had to spend a little bit of time with the girls before I could post. Katie and Tori didn't want to quit sniffing and licking me. Especially Tori! I know for sure she knew who the scents belonged to and pretty sure she picked up her main man, Bon's scent. She loves hanging out with Bon and playing with him.
It was so good to hang out with Anna and just relax and talk. A great day for me!
Staci, the next time I plan any surprise visits I'll be sure to let you know....hhmmmm....unless that surpise visit is to you! ;) :D

Anna, I am glad you are feeling well enough to get up and post. Of course I think many of us are so *computer addicted* that we would hobble over to our computer chairs even if the doctor said not to. LOL! I am glad you and Robin had such a nice time. I know it was a great day for you both. :)
Anna, it is wonderful to see that you are up and around and hitting the keyboard!
I am rather over-protective myself, and would love to protect everyone from every bad thing that comes in their path. I cannot stand violence, war, angry words (although I get angry, go figure). I am a non-violent person and when I see damage being done, I react to it in a "flight" style rather than a "stay and fight" style, thus the concept of rehoming came to mind first for me, for you. I am happy you were not offened by it. I wanted to keep you safe from harm.
Take really good care of the bite site, my dear, and DO NOT hesitate to call the Dr. if anything changes! (That's the Mom in me coming out!)
Please have a speedy recovery and many more happy times with your Bon boy!
A lesson well learned. I bet this "refreshed" the concept of how not to get in the middle of a fight, for many of us. Sorry you had to be the example!

I just went back to search for a picture of Bon boy that I had saved. I have a file for *other people's pets* and yes there are several PT doggies in there. :) Anyway, does anyone remember this adorable picture? It was so sweet and, therefore, wound up being one my "keepers." :)

Hey, if Amy and Staci are going on or getting the visit, it's me too (or Anna again for that matter.) We could have a mini pet talk meeting with just the girls and no doggies. I have a big enough house and we could talk and have pizza and talk and eat and talk!

Anna I have followed your thread because I was bitten this week by my kitty Robbie. It is *nothing* at all like what happened to you but did require a doctor visit and antibiotics. It was all an accident but I have been a little leery of him and yesterday when I tried to clip his claws - I was too scared to even do more than 4 claws. Robbie is the biggest, dopiest and most affectionate cat ever! My little bite and yet I needed to take some comfort from my PT friends.
This thread sure took a happy turn!! HUGS to you Anna and Robin (oh yes and you look terrific Robin - just a right size now :D )

I forgot I wanted to add this pic...they really do get along good. This was taken the night after I got bit.
They're just like us. They can have their disagreements just like we can and still get along. I don't think this incident makes Bon a bad dog. I think that your bit is so terrible because he's a big powerful dog. Big dogs are stronger, naturally. I don't think it's an indication of his ferocity.Quote:
