Seems our stupid city decided to redo the National Cemetery where my dad is buried. They stared work on MAY 9th. The work won't be done until september. No vehicles are allowed in the cemetery while they are working on the gates. We can, walk from the gate into the cemetery. Yeah, if you can walk that far, which I CAN'T!!! :(
Even if I could, I couldn't ask the public trasportation people to wait for me while I trudged up there. So, for the first time since his death, my dad won't have a flower on his grave over Memorial Weekend. I can't help crying. I feel like I'm letting him down. :(
I did post about this on their little web opinion site. I told them they could have waited until AFTER Memorial Day to start this. sheesh

I am sorry you can't get there, maybe they can come up with a plan if enough people complain. I had a thought though if it doesn't work out for this year. Just remember there is that free bag of mushrooms in the waiting. :D That was my dads idea years ago. No one wanted to eat the mushrooms when we first found them. My family thought they were going to die.:eek: So dad came up with the free bag idea. ;) I still chuckle to myself when I am out there on the Great Mushroom Hunts.
