... in fact one of them has shrunk from 8 mm in January to 3 mm now. I don't need another scan until August, 2010.
Now, this doesn't mean you're allowed to stress at work! ;)
Big (((hugs)))
Such wonderful news!!!
happy day!!!!
Thank you everyone!
The only explanation that I can come up with is that tumours feed off sugar and since losing weight my blood sugar as gone down to normal so maybe I'm starving the tumours by getting my diabetes under control. Who knows.
R - stress at work??? Yes, it's still just as bad but I'm using some "tools" to handle it a bit better.
Are any of them large hammer-like objects? :p:DQuote:

Seriously, glad you are finding ways to be a bit healthier and less stressed!
Absolutely wonderful news! Hoping and praying for a loooooooong remission. Like forever!
Apologies for bringing this thread to the forefront again. September 14th marks year 5 since I had surgery for lung cancer. They say that if you live 5 years after diagnosis, then it's all thumbs up. My CT scans are every year now and in August I had one as scheduled. Unfortunately they found something that may be scar tissue but they are not sure. I now have to revert back to CT scans every 3 months. :( My next one is November 7th. Regardless of how I feel, I must remember that every day is a gift, and they are gifts that I treasure.
Just thought I would share. I read through this whole thread and when I see what Phred posted, well, that just brings me LES. :(
Oh, and I meant to say that I received news today from my Mom that my cousin in the States just had a double mastectomy. It's times like this that I get so angry.....
I think we need to just "pray" this away.
You have all my prayers and best thoughts that this is nothing dear friend.
Is there no diagnostic that would be more definitive than a CT scan? Just curious. Here's hoping it's "just" scar tissue, your poor lungs have been through enough!
Prayers coming your way.
Prayers from all here including the kitties.
Prayers coming from me and my kitties in PA. Hope it is just scar tissue.
Sending prayers your way!
Slick I'm sorry to hear this and hope it is just scar tissue. You will be in our thoughts hoping that all the scans come out clear.
I'm also sorry to hear about your cousin:(
Dear dear Slick, I really hope it's just scar tissue. You have been living healthy and enjoyed life (at least in your free time) since your operation, so it has got to be scar tissue! I believe it is.
You will of course be worried, as we all are, but try to look forward to next year and imagine all the things you have planned. It will be wonderful! :)
I'm sending you lots of positive thoughts that this is nothing you need to worry about - and purrs from Fister.
Love and big ((((hugs))))
If you want to talk, I'm right here. :)
Prayers for the best result from here, too! Let me know if there's anything I can do.
Congratulations on the 5-year anniversary, slick!!!!!
Prayers and love and strong healing energies and warm thoughts to you too, that all this is is scar tissue. We already know how fine and strong and healthy you are.
And prayers and good wishes and healing energies for your cousin who just had the double mastectomy, too. I am a 26-year survivor of breast cancer myself, so I especially wish her well.

HUGS!
Slick, I know it's just scar tissue. It just has to be. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent your way. Please take care. (((HUGS)))
I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin.:( My mom is also a breast cancer survivor and she decided to have a double mastectomy. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent her way too.
Slick good thoughts & prayers sent your way along with your cousin too.
Sending good thoughts and prayers to you, Slick. Hope everything will be alright with you.
Willie
Keeping paws crossed that it is just scar tissue- they scared me one year with that ......
You are in my prayers.
.....and sending all positive thoughts.....
Thinking of you, friend.
Slick's next tests are due on Monday, November 7th. Maybe it would be a good idea if we put in some prayers for her now as I would imagine as it gets closer it is on her mind.
I am off to light a candle...................
I'm hoping all goes well for you. I am a cancer survivor and have been for over 5 years. I had non-hodgins lymphoma and I had to go through chemo and radiation. It wasn't the best of times but I did win the war with this beast. Hope you will continue to beat it too. Best of luck to you.
........prayers going out for you Slick.......
Tons of positive thoughts are flying across to you, Slick - and Fister is keeping his paws crossed. Now, have a relaxed weekend and some good snuggles with Merlin. :)
Lots of love to you, my dear friend!
We're all thinking of you and sending prayers and positive energies, Slick, that you continue to be well and strong. We just lit a candle, too.
