Rachel!! :D :D Yippee!! I was wondering when your poetic self would show up. You did great!!
Keep writing! :)
I love these I love these!! Here's one about my sister's dog since I don't have one yet...
My sister has a chow/collie named Bear.
He has incredibly thick hair.
He isn't so bright...
He's losing his site...
But still enjoys life without care.
I'm back again!
Hannah and Tucker are like night and day,
Tucker likes quiet and Hannah loves to play,
With Mom she loves to go shopping or do lunch,
He stays with Dad...watches a game and they munch,
They live in the great State of Illinois,
Hannah loves parties, Tucker don't like the noise.
:D
Precious, Jackie!!!!!! We're going to have to have you published! LOL!! ;)
Logan it's fun, but everyone beware, once you start doing it you can't stop. :D :D

Rachel... Bella really wanted to write one for Tucker too, just like she did for Hannah, but she was having trouble rhyming with Tucker and some of her ideas were bad!
:o
Hahahahah, Pam. I'm trying to go to bed and your post keeps making me laugh.Quote:

LOL LOL I don't know why, but this one just popped into my head...hope you don't mind, Daisy's mom!!!
They say pictures are worth a thousand words... :D

Daisy has long floppy ears...
A waste basket bandit, mom fears!
She gets in the trash...
Thinks it's corned beef hash...
Those pics will keep us laughing for years!
LOL LOL LOL! Wolflady I love it! That's so great! Thanks for thinking of my pup! Ha I am still laughing over it... how perfect! :)
Bridget I was in PetsMart yesterday. A lady was carrying a baby basset. I was dying!! How absolutely preciously adorable!!! All I could think was "if Bridget was here she'd be all over that pup with smooches!!!" :D
Oh Pam, you're so lucky! Baby bassets just make me go crazy! They are so little, yet so wrinkly :)

Okay this isn't all true because I just need some things to write.
I know a great golden named Bam Bam,
He has a stuffed toy named Lamb Lamb,
He barks with a ruff,
then eats all the stuff,
and that's the last time we saw poor Lamb Lamb.
I know a great dog named Tiger,
He loves it when I "grrr",
He looks at me strange,
then barks for a change,
And then he goes "grr"
I think that's okay. Bam Bam is my friends dog and Tiger is my sweet pup!
My brother's dog's name is just Nilla
He's a jolly lab/husky mix fella
He's fuzzy and wiggly
Makes the girls all giggly
And chases the cats to the cellar!
(Just say cellar like a good Bostonian, and it'll rhyme better!)
Good work, girls! Keep them coming...I'm thinking, thinking trying to write one for Karen's Cody... :)
OHHHH BOY!! This is right up my alley. I'm an English major and poetry is my FAV!! I'm actually applying for a job w/ Hallmark cards. If I'm ever in a position where I can develop my own line of cards...I'm keeping you guys and your furbabies in mind!!
Ok, forgive me, this isn't a limerick but an ode... I wrote this for a children's poetry class that I took.
ODE TO SARA THE BOXER
A blur of brindle-
Slow brain,
Fast feet,
Quicker tongue.
Slobbering happy mass
Clumsily chasing cats
Not to hurt
But to agitate.
In the house:
Expert cat courser,
Impatietn beggar,
Toy toter,
Underwear theif,
Mischief maker.
On the waxed floor:
The grace of a bulldozer.
In the backyard:
She digs,
Barks at shadows,
Yawns at winged intruders,
Buries biscuits,
Eats rosebushes, daisies, worms, and her water bowl,
Chews house, fence, boat, trampoline.
Jumps tall fences, small buildings
Only to be scolded.
In her doghouse:
Lays
Halfway in-
Halfway out,
On top of
Blankets,
Grass,
Dirt,
Her squeaky toys.
On the leash:
Sixty pounds
Pulling,
Straining,
Choking,
Dragging me behind.
She will heel
Only a second
Possibly two--
Too many sights,
Smells,
Wonders,
And cats.
Floppy ears,
Liquid eyes.
White muzzle and paws
Covered in earth.
Pink tongue
Longing for remnants
Of leftover snacks.
Stout, sinewy body,
Hard muscle mass
Tense,
Eager to bound and leap.
Short tail,
Shorter attention span.
Cold nose,
Warm heart.
For Corinna
We know a Golden named Corinna
Everyone on Pet Talk knows she's a winner
She is beautiful, She is smart
She has special place in Alicia's heart :)
Daisy's mom, what a cutie-patootie baby Daisy is!! Baby bassets are just too cute for words. A friend of mine got one awhile back and named him Sparticus. Cute!!! :D
http://wsphotofews.excite.com/001/M2/wu/hc/0V86179.jpg
OH MY GOSH! Sparticus is adorable! Give him lots of kisses for me!
Sending lots of woofs and licks!! Don't ya just love puppies??!!! :D :D

Sometimes :D :D :D
I'm owned by a great dog named Maddie.
She has made my house pretty rattie.
She eats all in her path,
Puts me in a wrath,
And I completely go battie!
I'm owned by a great dog named Sasha.
She stands very still when I wash'a.
She's a beauty in solid black,
Always rolling over on her back,
So I scratch her belly and say "Aww Masha"!
I have a great dog named Lexi who owns me.
I raised her from a wee little puppy.
She's been with me for 5 years,
Thinking of life without brings tears,
I can't imagine how my life will ever be!
I hope I don't sound partial to my babies.... Sasha is such a sweetie, Maddie is just psycho but I love her so much and Lexi just has a very special place in my heart since I have had her since she was a puppy.
Gosh, I'm hooked now. All of you guys write soooo good!
Here is one for Simba...
There once was a dog named Simba.
Running and playing cuz he was 'limba'. (limber)
Cute as a button,
As loveable as 'nuttin',
I think he needs a brother named 'Timba'!
And for Fritz....
There was this little cutie named Fritz.
Does he like to eat crackers named Ritz?
Maybe he should try some,
And even give Hans one,
Then leave a carpet full of bits! :)
Oh, Angel! You did great!!!!!! :D
Thanks :D! It appears as though Fritz and Simba made better subjects to write about... My dogs have hard names to rhyme with!Quote:

That is so cute! And accurate except he wouldn't share with Hans!
