I am so sorry to hear Major isn't feeling well. I really hope it's not too late. Get him to the vet ASAP! Give him some hugs from me and Duke. Let us know how he's doing.
:( I hope nothing's wrong. That would be true horror!:( Hope and prayer for Major.
Oh no! I hope it's nothing serious!! Get better soon, Major!!!!!!!!! Keep us updated!
Oh no, I hope he's okay!!!! :(
Keep up updated. I hope you can take him to the vet.
I'll be thinking about you and him. I hope he's going to be okay.
I won't be on much if at all this weekend but I will certainly try to hop on to see how he's doing!
You all will for sure be in my thoughts! I hope everything is alright.
We're sending you yummy hugs and kisses. We're thinking of
you MAJOR. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Maria, we're sending you yummy hugs and kisses too. I know how hard not knowing is.
Update...he's doing better right now. My mom called the poison control today, and my dad called them last night, and they said that by now, if no symptoms showed up, he should be okay.
However, I am going to phone the vet anyway. I don't think its feasable to take him in right now but I will have to see what they say. Thank you everyone!
I don't understand why poison control told you this.
We had a dog come into the clinic a couple of weeks ago coughing up mucousy blood. The owners had fed him chicken bones the night before ( ) so they thought he was choking. We took xrays and his lungs were full of blood. It turned out he had eated 2 bars of rat poison a week before. Rat poison causes death by internal bleeding, but because he was a big dog, it metabolized much slower than it would in a rat.
I would still take him to the vet. Poisoning is a serious thing.
Okay, I hope it isn't the poison... Thanks for letting us know what's up Maria!
I know, I don't understand either. Kaige, my dog ate rat poison just last Thursday, he has to be on the Vit. K treatment for 3 weeks & 2days because symptoms can occur weeks later.Quote:

AND the next day, my same vet had a golden come in that got into rat poison 2.5 weeks prior & was just showing symptoms. She was given blood transfusions and intensive care for 2 days just to be in the clear. I guess she's still a sick girl but doing much better.
Anyways this type of poison can be long term, if you read the box it even says on it it can take 5-12 days to kill mice & rats, well a dog is bigger therefore it can take even longer to take affect on a larger animal.
Either way I am glad he's better & I really hope he continues to improve & nothing is wrong. But please get a second opinion & keep a very watchful eye on him.
Still sending good thoughts!
OH NO, Get feeling better Major.
