Not Terry :( Good thoughts going out to her that she quickly recovers. Is there anyway you can find out?
Terry is still in the hospital.she is waiting to hear from them about a Doctor that will take her case,I don't know what she is in for,one thing is her knee, not the only thing she is in there for, this came from her Facebook page.
Prayers from here!
.....prayers coming from Cincinnati.....
I just got a message from Terry via Facebook, her bad leg has MRSA in it,it is a staph infection, has developed sepsis from that. Her knee has to be removed for 3 months to get rid of the infection and then another knee replacement if they can save the leg.She may go home tomorrow if they can get her ready. They found a Doctor in Orlando to take her case. She has to stay on strong antibiotics for weeks. She can't walk at all,the infection took out her knee function, hopes to get physical therapy to help her walk .She says she is coming home tomorrow and her son will have to carry her in.Her Doctor couldn't take her at his small hospital, not sure if this is the one she mentioned earlier. She tells me to give her best to all her Pet Talk buddies and pets.
Oh dear Lord - that poor girl! That's a lot of serious issues that she is dealing with, and she has had such a difficult time with that knee replacement from the start. Please tell her that she is in my prayers.
BTW - do you have her address? - I'd like to send her a card. Please PM me if you do.
Thanks Barry - and thank you for the update. Please keep us posted.
Wow,
I know that feeling. Sending her prayers and praying that she get a good doc and the best care possible.
Terry is coming home sometime today and will waiting to hear when the surgery will be,she will keep me updated.
Oh my gosh, Terry, prayers from RI for healing for you.
Terry is home right now waiting to hear on when her surgery is,she is getting IV'S of Antibiotics, her son and daughter are helping with that. She is tired from this,is basically bedridden.
Haven't been on for a while but glad I'm back to send prayers and good thoughts to Terry . She sounds like she's run into some serious problems, here's hoping things will start getting better now that she's back home with family. Thank you for all the updates Fritz---
Where is Terry? I have a very personal connection with this type of case and, if she's anywhere near the MD/DC area, I would have recommendations. My brother has just lived through this; he had a hip replacement a year ago, developed a MRSA, and was on not only heavy antibiotics, but several cocktails of antibiotics through a pump - for almost a year. He was able to keep the hip (it was touch and go as to whether he would keep his as well) and has now had the second replacement. It can be beaten! Let me know if Terry needs any recommendations. Prayers continue!
How awful.:( Many prayers headed Terrys way.
Prayers that all goes well.
