We are hoping and praying so much too that it is just an infection and the treatment works.

Carole, I so hope it's "just" an infection and that the treatment works. Ellie-Mae is such a sweetheart and hopefully you'll have a long together yet. Snuggle with her as much as you can, and please give her some kisses from me.
Fister and I keeping all paws and fingers crossed for her.
Sending positive thoughts and prayers to Ellie-Mae.
Thanks everyone i am sure Ellie would give you all a big purr of thanks if she could, good news she has picked up this morning, i can see the difference in her , i picked her up for a cuddle,(which she normally does not like,)and she tried to get away and jumped down, good signs for Ellie, as yesterday she snuggled in to me and slept, not usual for my girl.
She has eaten pretty good this morning, and she just looks more bright eyed, and she does not seem to be agitated anymore, slept soundly with me last night, she was not as agitated yesterday before the treatment so not sure what was going on there.
So let us hope all these signs are pointing towards an infection only and she will make a good recovery, still got two more injections to go as well, i am not sure if it is an infection why they happen and if it can come back, i forgot to ask my vet that, but will find out next visit.
Again please keep those prayers and good vibes and thoughts coming, we appreciate it very much and is such a comfort to me,thank you my dear friends , it means such a lot to me.
Ellie is so special to me, all my cats are really, but because we have been through so much together and she is a rescue cat, just means so much that she will make a good recovery and be with us for many years to come, here's hoping.
Great news! Kissies to Ellie-Mae (if she will accept them ;) ). Hope she keeps on thriving.:love:
me too Candace, i imagine we shall be on another roller coaster ride, never much fun , but here's hoping for the best, it will take at least six weeks for her to get over it competely as she needs those three injections two wks apart, oh fun ellie will just love seeing the vet every two weeks, she is such a good wee girl though, but stressful for her, does not have happy memories from there. I can hardly blame her.
Hope she continues to improve.
Bentley, Butler, and I send you our prayers.
Good news! Continuing prayers and good wishes and healing energies for Ellie-Mae and you both, Carole.

Prayers on the way from me for you and sweet Ellie-Mae.:love:
Ellie is doing even better today, she ate her two platefuls of food which is normal for her these days, and she certainly looks so much brighter, she crashed a bit last night, so i was a bit concerned, and there was a sneeze this morning, but only one, she does sound a wee bit raspy in the chest though, so fingers and all paws crossed, the antibiotics seem to be working and of course the wonderful power of PT as always, thanks my friends, will keep you all posted on her progress, she is not peeing as much either, but enough so that i am not concerned that she is dehydrated.
