I was in the market for a house at the time of the housing market explosion, however, I refused to take out a loan for more than I could afford to pay back. It would be irresponsible to do anything else. But again, people are being allowed to say it's not my fault because (fill in blank). Aarrgh!!! I say it is the responsible people who are getting screwed not the successful ones (because you can be both successful and responsible). I have no problem with successful companies doing business in the US being taxed by the US so that the money can be used in the US. It is better than allowing them to take the money from the US and send it overseas where it will not help us at all.
For the most part I thought that Sara Palin looked like she was doing an interview for a beauty contest. I was distracted and disgusted by the way she was playing into the camera like she was making a movie. Yes, it is a good idea for a canidate to look directly into the camera when he wants to emphasize a point, to really drive it home and look commited and earnest. Unfortunately all she looked like was that she was more concerned about smiling into the camera than connecting with anyone on any particular point. To say she did better than expected is a really lame way to evaluate her performance since everyone had rather low expectations of her to begin with. I think the handlers for the Republican party have done a terrible job in preparing their canidates. They need to fire them all and bring in a new group of advisers if they want anyone to take them seriously.
