Woohoo is right! Yay Kelly! Nobody deserves a great job with an awesome new boss more than you do! Way to go!!! PARTY TIME!
Congratulations!!! It sounds wonderful.
And, scrubs are great! You never have to worry about what to wear, and they are SO comfy. (Although be warned, the drawstring waist can lead to eating too much...5 lbs later, this is something I know first hand. )
That is so great Kelly! Congratulations!! This job sounds like a really good fit for you, and they are certainly lucky to have you on board! :D
**hugs**
Couldn't happen to a nicer person, i am so happy for you, you deserve this so much and the doctor sounds awesome, a great mentor for you,CONGRATS and i sure hope it is everything you want it to be, good on you and well done.,WAY TO GO GIRL. :)
So Kelly, you are in the middle of your work day now. I hope it's going well...please post tonight and let us know.
I'm sending big {{{hugs}}} to you with much happiness about this news. It sounds as if this is a smaller office than the other places you worked?? Good luck sweetie and I look forward to reading some more updates. How does the back office work differ from the front office?? Just curious.
xoxo
Thank you all so much for your sweet words of Congratulations!! :)
I'm sorry I haven't been around until now. I had a really nice week at work, just really tired after not working at all - up to full time, running around a crazy busy docs office .
Everything is going really great. I love the doctor I'm working for. I really enjoy the people I work with and ADORE the patients!!!
Slick - front office is where you make appointments, talk to the patients on the phone and when they get there, take co-payments, do clerical things, take care of office things that are medically/doctor related, etc. Back office is processing blood, urine, stool, doing bloodpressure, weight, height, (vitals), taking patients to their rooms, assiting the doctor for whatever she needs during exams or in-office procedures, etc.
I'm actually going to be doing BOTH jobs. I've learned to take vitals, process urine and stool, take weight, do EKGs, put pts in rooms and lots of other things in the back and the front office. I'm having a great time and I'm getting PAID for it, its pretty great.
My health is my number one priority and I'm doing pretty well. :)
I'll update more later, I'm really hungry and need to do some Christmas stuff.
BIG HUGS to you all.
LOVE YOU!!!

Whew, great news. I was a little concerned when you didn't report sooner.
So glad to hear it is going well, Kelly! Congratulations!!!
Thanks for the wonderful update Kelly.:) This job sure sounds like it was made for you. I'm so glad that you're enjoying it and I hope that eveything continues to go well for you.:)
I didn't see this thread when it began, but fortunately I didn't have to wait too long for your report on your first few days. All I had to do was keep reading! :) Kelly this is wonderful and I am so happy for you. I work for an ophthalmologist in the front office and do all of his dictation as well and, though I mostly sit during the day, there is a lot of *up and down* and running around too. It sounds like you are doing well. I think this job sounds like *the one.* When you love your job it is not like work at all. I pray that will be the case for you. :)
Oh, Kelly, I am so pleased to see this posting. Looks like persistance and determination have paid off with a good fit for you. Once you get fully acclimated to the routines and the expectations of your job, I'm thinking that you will be able to relax and that in turn will be so helpful to your overall health and well being. Just don't put too much pressure on yourself to *know it all* straight off. It takes time. Thanks for sharing the good news.
