Donut or Doughnut?

Donut or Doughnut? How do you spell it?? Sarha from dogo and me where trying to figure this out...

I always thought it was Doughnut.

I think both are right lol..We spell it doughnut here though I believe lol

Both variations are in the dictionary....

It is properly spelled doughnut. "donut" is like "kreme" - an incorrect but "cute" spelling popularized when it gets used in trade names, etc.

Dunkin' Donuts technically sells doughnuts, but as it's their store, they can name them anything they like!

Its really spelled doughnut. Donut is just a wierd spelling like kats or krispey kreme. lol

I spell doughnut, but this is cool, I've never thought about two ways before:rolleyes: I knew there were two ways, but I never noticed, I think both are correct

Abby says donut but she'll eat em either way u spell em!

I have a donut everyday :) My mom gets a free one when she gets coffee on the way to work.. she always saves it for me

We have a donut once in three months................and even that's if we're lucky. :rolleyes:

My mom insists that doughnuts have no nutrition and are nothing but carbohydrates and sugar, deep fried. We only get it once in the blue moon as a treat. But I LOVE donuts!
