A new addition
and its a DAWG!!!!!
She's an absolute sweetheart but I have 5 cats that beg to differ. Harry and Pouncer are the only two that even come out of hiding when she's around. They alternate between aloof appraisal of da dawg and all-out hissing and swatting.
First, please welcome da dawg (official name is Callie) Doesn't she look sweet and innocent?

Here she is interacting with my two brave boys

Ok, ok, the truth is she would leave them alone if they didn't hiss at her. they get her going. Would someone care to come tell 5 tabbies that if they just pretended she wasn't here that she'd act like they weren't here? Here Pouncer has figured out this simple truth.... not to say he wasn't hissing at her later that evening

He'll spend his days hanging upside down from the cat tree watching her. I have no idea how he doesn't get dizzy!

Harry hangs out on the scratching post in the dining room in the hopes food will come.... he's basically the only one who's been eating normally this past week

Poor Allen is the worst affected.... who would have thought that?

I Hope That They Can Get Used To Each Other In Time, But The Callies Size And In Your Face Friendliness Scare Cats Who Are Used To A More, Shall We Say Laid Back Approach!!
We Pray That They Will Realize That They Ahve A Big Furry Friend Soon!!
I Wonder How The Found Cats Would React To A Canine Newcomer!!

You dared to bring a DAWG into that house with those happy cats? They probably think Mommie has lost it now! Hopefully, they will all end up great buddies and be snuggeling together on cold nights, realizing what a benifit is is to have a warmer, larger friend!
I LOVED the pictures and glad to see Pouncer in a thread that isn't all about his latest problem... Now he has dawg problems! That one of him hanging upside down in the cat tree is PRICELESS!

So, how are the kitties coping with the new DAWG!?! No inappropriate peeing or stress induced UTI's, I hope.

What a cutie pie.
Hopefully everyone will learn to adjust and play nice.

Oh dear, a DAWG!!!!! Butter Kitty has had to deal with many. I hope yours will deal with it as gracefully as he has. Congrats on the new pup! Darling!!!

OMG, that's hilarious! The airplane ears are just too funny! Don't worry, they'll get used to each other and become good friends. I had 4 cats when I rescued a Border Collie. My 5 lbs. of pure terror, Puddy, didn't like the idea of Heidi, the dog, interloping into her territory. As a matter of fact, they all put up a fuss. Later, though, Puddy got a charge out of playing w/Heidi's tail and Heidi would curl her lip in the Elvis mode but never even growled at her. Eventually, Puddy slept on Heidi's back. So give it time. Chaos will soon turn into bliss. Just watch. And Callie is adorable! :)
