Cards all got mailed this afternoon. Whew! By the time I was finished, both Dasher and I had glittery embossing powder all over us. It was like faery dust :D I did enjoy making them and am going to start much sooner in 2008.

This Christmas is kind of quiet, I didn't bring out my wee tree...but I did two lengths of string on my wall, and almost all the cards are there! The rest are on a tabletop.

It decorates for the season, is so lovely and joyful.

Actually, Doogie was Santa and Dasher was the reindeer :D I have two spectacular critters. Dasher didn't know how to pose when I first got him but he does now. And he loves it! *I get Doogie drugged up on catnip* (just kidding) Doogie is almost like a dog. I tell him to stay and he does. He's a very laid back cat.

OMG, almost a month to go from TN to IL!! :eek: My brother from Chicago came in for Christmas I could have just sent it back with him and got it there quicker! :rolleyes:

If anyone didn't receive a card from me please let me know. I've had mail delievery problems before so I'm very paranoid about it. About 6 years ago a temp. mail carrier stole most of my neighborhood's mail on two different dates. She got caught trying to cash some of the stolen checks. She happend to steal our vouchers for a free night stay at a hotel and it was a huge ordeal trying to get them replaced in time for our trip plus she stole a bill that I missed and had to go through a lot to get the late fee waived. Needless to say I don't trust sending things through the postal system anymore.

I drew it by hand and then scanned it in, I sent the file to be printed off to Staples, and they did the actual printing, on matte card stock.

sure I knew you did it by hand, just not sure how you printed it.. :p they do have a nice prining machine.... as I said it came out waxy as if it wasn´t printed, just drawn

I always love the card swap. It's so fun to get cards from all over the world and to see all the different cards. Gives you a small peek of that person. I saw a cute thing on Martha Stewart that I'm going to do for this year. And when I get back from Maryland, going to work on the first one and see how it can be improved. I won't be scrambling this year to get them mailed in time. I'll probably get them made and then forget where I put them :p

Thanks again to all who participated and to Isabel for organizing it all! May 2008 bring great things to you all. I'm treating it as a fresh start. The bad things of 2006-07 are, for the most part, behind me. Except for a few bittersweet memories. I'm hoping this year will be so much better. I've got so many things to be thankful for. Bless all of you. This is such a wonderful place.

I think for the most part I got all my cards. I received a few while I was away and Guido showed me them on the webcam so I wouldn't have to wait to get home to see them. I will do a final check in the next few days and give a list if anyone wants it. And please if anyone didn't get the card from me let me know. :)

Isabel, I have to give a special thank you from my furry crew. Artica simply loved her treats and OMG the kits went mad for the homemade feather teasers. I will get some videos for you of them playing with them. Even Vixen had a ball. She demands so playtime with them alone each evening. I have not seen her play like she does with then since she was young. It is like she is a kitten again. Thank you, thank you, thank you. :)
