Tab Has Become My 6th Cat

This is Tab. Like my Koji, the neighbors ignored and never really took care of him (see Koji's story). After years of their neglect, I finally decided he needed a home when I saw him limping, which he quickly got over in a few hours at the vet. I then gave him to friend of mine. Tab is a great cat: affectionate, laid back, considerate, attentive. My friend, Beth, said he was the best cat she ever had.

In Nov. 2012, Beth passed away.

Now that I know that it really takes serious bites to pass along FIV, I've given up trying to give Tab away again. He and my 5 are still working things out, but it's okay, and he does not fight. As I write this at the beginning of 2013, he's at the vet healing from serious dental surgery and will need more in 3 months. He is now mine and I will do nearly whatever it takes to give him a long, healthy life. He's still very sweet and affectionate, and especially considering how hard his life had been for many years, Tab deserves love, food (yes, he's a big fan of food), warmth and comfort. I'm sad that my sweet friend, Beth is gone and miss her terribly, but I'm happy to have Tab as my own.
