April
is a lively, very sweet toad. She's the biggest out of the five I
currently have and she's the most ready to eat. She's also one of my
favorites to hold and I absolutely adore her colors! I found her this summer
by the pond near my house and my little brother and I have loved her ever
since. I've been a toad lover since I was five years old and my childhood was
mostly dedicated to saving these little guys. I'm sixteen now, almost seventeen. Anyway,
April seems to like being petted, and she's also clearly the dominant toad in my tank.
Here is the picture of their tank. I'll usually feed her mealworms from the
store, but in the summer I'll find regular worms, pillbugs, spiders, flies,
maggots, millipedes, slugs and such like that; whatever I find, really. April
loves to explore and crawl and jump all over the place, but she still trusts
me to the point that she'll even eat from my hand, which is a very cool
experience! She'll also sometimes try to "eat" my fingers to let me know that
she's hungry. She's very cute and I absolutely adore her.
Toads, and animals in general, are awesome!
