Meet
Ash, my gray medium-haired mousie! I named him so after Ash Ketchum from
Pok�mon, which is one of my fav shows. His name also originated from his fur,
which looks like the color of a pile of ashes. I had a lone older female at
the time so I decided to get Ash as a companion for her. He came with another
mouse too and the three instantly became inseparable. They live together and
spend most of their time sleeping and grooming each other.
When I first got him (for 95 cents in a local pet store) the employee who
specializes in small animals said he was a girl! Thinking he was female, I
bought him and originally named him Felicity. I wanted females only because
back then I didn't want my older girl to get pregnant. I was very surprised
when I found out the truth! But no matter what I'll still love Ash with all
my heart. Ash is super tame from being used to a lot of contact from the pet
store. I can hold him and he won't even flinch!
Ash does this thing where he grinds his teeth and breaths really fast which
creates a guinea pig-like noise, which is absolutely adorable. He was not
neutered as I thought he was a female so he impregnated the other younger
mouse I got, which should give birth soon. The mother is cream-furred. I
can't wait to see what the babies'll look like! Ash still has lots of days to
come, and I'll be there each step of the way. c:
