Fabio
is three years old, and is from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He is my my
Harlequin Crested Gecko - that's what his coloring is called. He is special
to me because when ever I am having a bad day this little guys goofiness and
sweet nature always seem to cheer me up and make me smile. He is such a
cooperative boy when I want to take pictures, and is such a good little
model! I think he looks so adorable in the shot.
Fabio mainly eats "crested gecko diet" from the store. These diets have been
formulated to contain all of the essential fats, proteins, minerals, and
vitamins that crested geckos need. His favorite flavor of this seems to be
strawberry-banana. Sometimes for treats he gets to eat waxworms or mealworms
(gut loaded and dusted in calcium and Vitamin D3 powder) or crushed up blue
berries which he really seems to go crazy for (he really makes a mess when
eating these, but it is super cute to watch him eat them).
I have always had a love for reptiles and had wanted a crested gecko for
sometime and when we were at a local reptile show one year that was close to
my birthday, my husband surprised me by telling me he would get me one for it
and so we looked at a bunch but when I saw Fabio I just knew right away that
he was the one. Fabio and I hope you have a great Valentine's Day!
