Kahless
spent a few months at a pet store before we brought her
home. She was very shy and cautious when we met her there. But
she kept doing this cute little trick that made us adopt her- she
would scratch her head with her foot and then forget what she was
doing and just sit there with her foot hanging in the air. Maybe
you had to be there, but it was adorable! Kahless lives at home
with Echo
and Tera,
the conures. They don't play together alone quite yet - I think
Kahless is a bit afraid of the little guys! She's still warming
up to us, but she's come a long way. She's learning to play with
toys and climb on her cage bars (she was in an acrylic cage
without bars or toys at the shop). For about an hour each evening
she talks up a storm even though the only real word she knows is
"Hi." She's very sweet and I fall in love with her every time she
puts her beak on her toes and asks me to pet the back of her
neck.
