I have my trusty little Speed Pass that I use when I need to fill up, so I rarely have to look at the gas prices. I really don't know what gas is up to down here.

Only $2.45? It's up to $2.73 for self-serve unleaded here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Glad I have a great mileage-getter Chevy Aveo - my trusty little red commutemobile! It's still expensive, but I only have to gas-up about three times a month.

It was $2.38 here in Fort Scott, Kansas yesterday. Who knows what it is today. This is beyond stupid!!!!
I only drive twice a week now to run errands. Guess I'll be cutting down to once a week.
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

$2.60 something here in the Chicago area.

A friend of ours in California....don't really remember where but I think it's nearer to San Francisco than to LA....just paid $3.12 for diesel for his pick-em-up truck.

Diesel is usually lower than gas, but since gas prices have started sky rocketing, diesel has gone up even more because they are diverting crude from the diesel refineries to the gas refineries to keep gas prices down. Wonder when the truckers are going to start complaining. We have 150 gallon tank in the motorhome, at $3.12 a gallon that would be $468.00 for a fill-up!

The part that really aggravates me is that the oil companies are reporting record profits. Crude goes up a penny, they raise our price by $.10. Crude goes down $5.00, our price stays the same or even goes up further because there's talk that crude prices will go up. It's just not fair. But then again, this is a capitalistic society and profits are the name of the game.

I say if we QUIT wasting it, we would buy far less and the prices would DROP drastically... Someone got the bright idea a few years ago to take the American population to the cleaners, BETTING, we would not change our habits.. And most haven't so they keep raising the price and raising the price and raising the price... And we keep buying and paying their outragous prices! It will continue to rise until people cut back on how much they use or can't afford cars anymore. Complaining does no good, ACTION will! (Remember, everytime you fill up, you are also filling up someone elses pockets!)

It is $2.45 a gallon in Louisiana

I JUST noticed the gas prices today!! I drive a Honda Civic and with no job to go to right now, I don't have to fill up very often. In fact, I can't even remember the last time....3 weeks ago I think and I know I paid $2.17 then because I was talking to my girlfriend in Cali about it.
Today I saw it's $2.45!! I did see a place at $2.39 so that is where I will fill up next time. It's outrageous!
It is getting to expensive to leave your house these days! Movies are out as they are too expensive too. You can't even take a Sunday drive to entertain yourself anymore....Crazy!!
