    Pictures from the horseshow!!

Our horse show was yesterday! I had so much fun! I had only riden Austin, 4 times in one year before the show, so I wasnt expecting anything. I will post the pictures, and explain what we (me and my sis) are doing in each. It started raining, towards the end, and we had to stand under and over hang, when we werent in the ring (it was outside). ENJOY!

This is my sister, with her horse Thumper. We were doing showman ship, where you just lead the horse into the ring, and line up, then you walk your horse up to the judge and set him up for inspection, then after the judge is done, you back your horse up 4 steps, pivot him 180 degree's, then trot back to your spot.
In this picture, she has Thumper set up for inspection.

This is me, with Austin, in the same class, I am backing him up 4 steps.

In this picture, I am walking out of the ring. Austin and I placed 5th out of 14 people. I am very proud of him. In the other class (that is almost exactly the same as this one) I placed 3rd out of 10.

    More coming!....

This picture, is my sister riding in the arena, during horsemanship or pleasure. All we have to do, is walk around the arena, and they tell us to walk, trot, or lope, while the judge inspects each of us. We also have to stop our horses, back them, and reverse them.

This is Austin and I in the same class, he was being very nawtee! In the first pic, he is throwing his head up in the air, and in the second picture, we were walking past the gate, and he desided he wanted to leave, so he stopped and I had to turn him around to get him to go.

Here we are walking out of the arena

The judge talked to me when I was walking out of the arena, and he told me that Austin seemed to listen very well.

    No pictures please, haha.

    Ok, you caught me.

My stupid boyfriend didnt get any pictures of us doing games I was so mad! I will get pictures of the games, at our next show, but I dont know when that will be. We placed 7th in almost every game class. I am very proud of him.

I also saw Jesse_3. But I didnt get a chance to talk to her

Love the pics! You both hold yourselves very well in the saddle. Austin is gorgeous! I hate it when they want to toss their heads like that. When I was riding, Flair would be doing the small steps prancing back and forth with the front legs. I would turn him in circles until I got dizzy and had to stop. I need to get ambitious and start riding again. It's been so long, I'd feel like a beginner

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

    Thanks everyone!

I am so proud of him. I couldnt of asked for him to do any better. Before the show, we hadnt gotten past trotting / jogging. I was so nervous when the judge said, "lope, your horses" I was thinking " please dont buck me off!" lol, but once we got to games, and did barrels, I felt like I had been doing it forever. It felt so good.
