Pray for Rosie, please, I noticed something on her eye..

Tonight, I noticed a pink bump -- and I'm not sure what it is. It looks inflamed or something bit her, please pray that it is nothing, and it'll go away quickly.

    Here's a pic..

That looks like a cherry eye. Cincy had the same things when she was a puppy. Basically, the thrid eyelid is out of place. I have heard as long as it isn't botheringthem, it really doesn't need to be fixed. Not sure how true that is.

Cincy's went back into place with antibiotics at first, but eventually she had to have surgery. The first eye they stitched back into place and she hasn't had anther problem. When she had problems with the second eye they removed the eyelid. She now runs the risk of developing dry-eye because she has one less tear duct. So far, this has not happned, but if it des, it will mean she needs eye drops daily.

Here's a link to the thread from Cincy's experience:

I was going to say cherry eye as well. Maggie had it as a pup as well. I freaked out when I saw it because I didn't know what it was. We took her to the vet and they fixed it surgically. Just sewed it back into place. She has been fine ever since with no additional problems. Best wishes though for Rosie. If it doesn't go away I would get a vet to look at it.

Thank you guys! Apparently, prayers worked.. it's back to normal, not inflamed anymore - but I will keep my eye on her..

Good to hear it went down.
