My horse just wont stop wiggling around when I hold up a foot to clean the hooves. Before she used to stand real quiet, but now it seems she's taken an advantage by wiggling. Before I clean the hooves, I usually move her so she stands square and balanced. She pickes her feet up with just a brush across her tendons and will stand quietly untill she thinks she's done. It has caused problems when she gets her feet done, especially when she's gettin the nails driven in. She doesnt have any swelling and has healthy feet [no thrush or such]. I have tried correcting her with a loud [but not shouting] firm "ho" [we use ho, instead of whoa] and if she gets real stupid, I'll give her a quick push [but hard, yet not abusive] correction on her barrel. It seems its only when she's half asleep she stands quietly.
Any tips would be helpful!
